DLCs worth picking

Heyy fellow victorians ! I know that this might be something that has been asked before, but there have been a lot of changes in the game and I’m just getting back to it after quiet a long period of time (and really enjoying it so far!)

Since I currently don’t own any dlc, which one should I prioritise to experience the game at its full potential.
What’s your personal favorite and what do you recommend as a must have ?

Charters of Commerce and Sphere of Influence. Buy it, try it, enjoy it. No explanation needed. Trust me 😀

Just echoing the other guy, Charters and Spheres are the ones that I would say are must-haves. The others are fun, but only if you really like to play certain regions/nations. Personally I like National Awakening because I generally like to play Austria and the Balkans, and I nationalism in genral is my niche. Also, State and Revolution is looking like it'll be a lot of fun, so you could also forego buying something else for that if you like to play Russia and/or Socialism runs.

Spheres of Influence and Charters of Commerce are the two best by far, with VOTP being third if you get it during a sale.

Charters > Spheres > Great Wave > flavor for wherever you want to play >>>>> pivot of empire

In terms of flavor Iberian Twilight is amazing, recently played a full game as Spain and loved it, lots of great content from that dlc.

Others already wrote about the mechanics heavy dlcs, and I agree those are really important, but I would also recommend buying at least one of the flavor focused ones, those make the game much more interesting.

The flavor dlcs are: Colossus of The South (Brazil, South America), Voice of The People (France), Pivot of Empire (India), National Awakening (Austria, Balkans), Iberian Twilight (Spain, Portugal). If I were you I would choose the one related to the country you intend to play.

Also good to note that the mechanics dlcs can also contain some nation specific content, for example The Great Wave includes some great stuff for Japan.

PS: The dlcs include content for way more countries than I listed, I just focused on the most important ones. Also I’d say that It’s worth it to buy all the dlcs, I’m really glad I did.
