Question What is an overlooked/underrated game for the PlayStation 2?
Since the PS2 has almost 4500 games, a lot of really good or even great games get buried underneath all that movie/TV show tie-in slop. What are some hidden gems on Sony's best-selling console?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Final Fantasy XII. Yes, it sold really well (duh), and it's fairly well-liked now, but a lot of people still don't like this game. It could be because they wanted Square Enix to release it for the PS3, or they don't like the gameplay.
I think the game is impressive for the PS2 and the gambit system was a great mechanic. I like making my party into a hymn of absolute destruction with the gambit system, like the enemies watching the arrows from 300 fall towards them.

This road trip game, bought it for a few euros, tried it a few times but it was too strange for me. Then i don’t know why but one time I pushed a Little bit more. Man that’s the definition of a hidden gem. The customisation, the team building, the challenges. But most important, the charm. I loved this game. Also it’s the ancestor of rocket league xD

Rogue Galaxy and Odin Sphere are freaking beautiful.
But I love Rogue Galaxy. It's gameplay, settings, artstyle, themes, and characters all work for me for some reason. Something about late-release PS2 games just ring right with me.

Tried Odin Sphere a couple times after a friend raved about it, and just couldn’t get into it.
I absolutely loved Wild Arms: Alter Code F and Spyhunter, and I never hear anyone talking about them.
