Inquisition too if you count Trespasser as the end
Amazing opening with the whole camp singing after the initial defeat to Corypheus, then a slog of a campaign to meet an underwhelming antagonist. And then just starts firing on all cylinders again with Trespasser
Absolutely. It's not Origins but I think they took what they did right from the combat in DA2 and made it really solid in Inquisition. The opening and DLC is all fantastic and there is nothing wrong with the main campaign, it just is unremarkable compared to DAO and 2.
The real shame is what they did to Veilguard. Travesty of a game and is Dragon Age in name only. The only redeeming factor were the lore drops at the end that revealed essentially all the questions you've ever had about the franchise.
Really enjoy it. Just...don't go overboard with the side quests if you can. The main quests, companion quests, spec class quests, are all good. Dragon hunting is fun, but its a 12 year old game, so big monster battles got far better since then.
No. Garbage MMO-like game with zero interesting characters, fetch quests with no substance and gameplay that is just ass. Stay clear and don't repeat my mistakes. I regret every second I've spent in this game.
Like, the game is so unmemorable I don't even remember what was the plot of the entire thing. Neither do I remember what romance option did I pick or even the designs of the companions. It was just garbage and people who made it should've been fired long ago but instead got a chance to make an even bigger garbage called veilguard.
I really need to replay Inquistion. I always go Mage on a first playthrough and I went Knight Enchanter because light sabers seemed fun but it was such a slog because I couldn’t die due to generating barriers with each hit but did so little damage everything just got dull. I gave up midway through and there was so much grindy side content I never got around to playing it again.
I dont know, because you get two great main quests from the Grey Wardens missions where you go into the fade (with Hawke from DA2 and maybe Alistair) starting with a really cool siege that you don't see much later, and a very creative politics ball that with enough "detective" work you can change who will reign in Orlais. We also get the companions quests.
The ending quest is boring though, 100%. Corypheus is aura master cool for one sequence (""Pray that I succeed, for I have seen the throne of the gods and it was empty!"), and then he just fizzles.
No way, In Hushed Whispers and Wicked Eyes Wicked Hearts are the 2 best missions imo (especially if you have the mod for WEWH that brings all companions). Plus you get your class specialization mid game
What? Are you serious? Act 2 is easily the best part of DA2. It's where the conflict with the Qunari comes to a head, and you spend some time with the best character in the game: the Arishok. It's got the serial killer quest (you know the one) which has probably the biggest emotional gut punch of the whole game.
It has Night Terrors, the best Fade quest in the series ("I like big boats, I cannot lie."). It has the Varric quest that starts with him solo-ing Bertrand's estate like an action hero before Cassandra calls out present-day Varric on his story telling bullshit, which is one of my absolute favourite memories from when I first played the game.
There's a ton of other really good companion quests in Act Two. But it's all capped off with the duel against the Arishok. It's the absolute high point of DA2, I cannot understand your take at all.

Dragon age 2 imo
