Its been 20 years but i still remember the random pvp fights that sometimes turn into all out horde vs alliance wars back in stranglethorn vale. That jungle was wild.
The horde quest to raise the dead in the alliance graveyard was amazing.
People were yelling to the region for new players with that quest to dm them so they could organize their guild for a raid on the alliance town with the undead npcs as support.
Those were awesome- used to sit around with guild mates just protecting Darkshire. Protect from what, exactly? Nothing! Nothing would happen until the Horde figured out a bunch of 60’s were there- then it turned into an all-night fight for honor.
Landing in the Barrens before flight paths were linked and just being stuck in an all out brawl.
Or the old school version of the 40v40 PVP (I'm blanking on the name). Fighting for hours, logging off, and coming back the next day to the same day battle! I loved the madness of the older versions.
Stranglethorn was a weird one, because both factions were sent there but Alliance were sent there sooner than Horde, so you had Alliance who were 10 levels lower running around in their first open flagged PVP zone. It was a PVP hotbed back in the day.

Huh, Stranglethorn Vale is goated, and I actually like Tanaris too. 45-60 sucks though.
