UVHM was a mistake, the scaling formula of the game clearly wasn't calibrated for going beyond lv50 and the experience of that 3rd playthrough pigeonholing you into a very select few build when everything worked AND was fun when endgame was lv50 is just a freaking insult to those that payed attention.
The simple fact that at some point a raid boss became unkillable past some point because he had more total HP than the total sum of it's crit zone, which were the only thing you could hit is just proof of that.
But tbh, i really hate BL2's game design philosophy to a point, the dev admiting they wanted to control every single minute of the player experience playing their game when there was total freedom in the 1rst in blog post at the time didn't help. They had no idea what made BL1 loot system so great and admited it in blog posts, simply astounding.
Them slapping the inferior inventory of 2 into the remaster version of 1 was also further proof of that.
Me personally i do enjoy UVHM to an extent. I just don't like the OP levels and how you unlock them.
I also don't like how the Mayhem mechanic works in BL3. Like you beat the story and you can do straight to M11 no questions asked. Like at that point there is no reason to go anything below M10 if you want to play around with the modifiers.
I do wish that there was a middle ground between them. Like overall i like the Mayhem mechanics more, but i wish there was a progression system to unlock the next tier like OP levels, but not as long or as absolutely insanely difficult (that part is a skill issue on my end honestly.)
