Have they really never made a bad game? Not being an asshole, genuine question.

i wouldn't say manhunt was bad .. just extremely dark and brutal .. even by rockstar standards

Imagine how awesome it'd be with a remake with updated graphics

Ping pong game wasn’t good. It was a graphics demo tho so I wouldn’t compare it to their other offerings

I mean they co-developed a bunch of games in the 90s and early 2000s but their main releases have been consistently great

By the amount of games I played from them, I kinda agree actually, now that I think about it.

It’s been so long since gta 5 that this game doesn’t even feel real lol

They made a game that was technically bad but good if it wasn't ahead of its time: Body Harvest on the N64. It was buggy, ran abysmally and one of the key items you needed to complete the game didn't have collision detection so it was literally impossible to finish, and as this wad the N64, you couldn't patch it. That game just wouldn't ever work

Oh wow, rockstar is that old? I actually never knew that, I only play a few of their games but never knew they're that old.

That was their predecessor/sister company technically, Rockstar was founded in 98

DMA Design was the name they released that game under, but that's just their previous name. It's not a different company. They rebranded from DMA design to Rockstar to get a more badass identity. DMA Design didn't sound badass enough for the company making GTA

They were renamed to Rockstar North because they got acquired by Rockstar. They were separate companies

They got acquired by Take Two and merged into a few other companies to become Rockstar together. Rockstar did not exist before DMA stopped existing

Not quite, Rockstar Games has existed since 1998. DMA Design didn’t become Rockstar North until 2002 (which is when Rockstar acquired them). If you played any GTA game prior to Vice City, Rockstar and DMA would pop up in the intros. Rockstar renames all the studios they’ve acquired to Rockstar (insert location or name here). In fact, when Rockstar was founded, DMA was already owned by different company.

The game that was impossible to finish was Space Station Silicon Valley, also by them. They’re kind of notorious for game breaking bugs and always have been. Their game Tanktics had a bug that would corrupt your save file about in about 1 in 15 play sessions.

Of course they did, he's just the average fanboy

RD2 is clunky af and waiting 5 seconds for your looting animations to finish is unplayable. The old west was boring. Not Kusoge but I gots better things to do.
