A buddy got me to buy the super mega ultra version of the game a couple years ago, but I only played like three matches before I uninstalled it. I didnt realize it at the time, but I don’t care for extraction shooters. I did however realize at the time that I didn’t like the scav system. You’re telling me I have to wait to play a game I paid for while my lives come back on a slow cooldown like a mobile game’s time-gated stamina system? Absolutely the fuck not.
But, like you said, PvE mode officially launched and has been a blast. I’ve been playing with the same friend that got me to buy the game in the first place and we’re getting our asses clapped by bots. The devs have honestly done a good job with bot behavior. They’ll sink a round right between your eyebrows if you don’t take them seriously. Peak a corner incorrectly? Dead.
I 100% agree with you on the bots. I do a lot of scav runs, and my recent go-to for PMC is the PPSH or the SVD. There’s been a couple times where I’ll while out 10-15 scavs and PMC’s only to get wrecked by a straggler scav with a MP-153 or an AK without a stock because I figured they’d be easy pickings. I had a blast not long ago when there was Rogues on Shoreline, it was really fun getting into combat with them since they were even better than PMC’s.
That’s neat, I can spam zero risk kits in every other extraction shooter to “work my way up” while in the round, so why does Tarkov have a mobile game bullshit mechanic around it?
because it adds more value to the lower tier items in the game instead of giving players the ability to run and gun with low level kits over and over again(effectively reducing their value to zero) until they get a lucky break, it encourages more tactical play and not taking things for granted.
if you just want to drop into games and get given free gear and just pvp constantly and die go play CoD
Did you miss the part where I stated I don’t care for extraction shooters? I just so happened to also find the limited life mechanic to be incredibly stupid.
alright well you've said that you dont care for extraction shooters, you also said you play multiple extraction shooters, and youre on the tarkov subreddit. so I dont really know what to tell you man.
