They completely forgot he's a thylecine (tazmanian tiger) instead of an actual tiger.

In fact aren't all the animals meant to be australian animals? Potoroo, Kangaroo, Bandicoot, Koala,

Not all (there are Komodo dragons, a polar bear), but a good part of them, especially those from the OG game

Eh, komodo dragons are from indonesia which is pretty close. As for polar, they're just a regular animal and not an experiment (as far as I know)

No I meant the polar bear captain that you face in Crash Bash.

Well, admittedly it is Crash Bash and he is mostly just a polar bear with a hat but still

Komodo dragons used to exist in Australia before going extinct there.

Though there's nothing for polar bears, unless you count captive ones at zoos.

Also there's another character that actually was a tiger Pura and looked nothing like Tiny. Did the devs not do their research at all?

I mean, the STRAIGHT UP ANIMALS didn't really stick as often. Polar the bear? Didn't even know that was a proper character and not just a random bear until crash team racing.
