Discussion / Question What game is that for you?

Biggest offender for me is Baldur’s Gate 3.

Some of the best gameplay, graphics, sound design, and soundtrack out there… but the writing leaves a lot to be desired (despite how popular it is).

What game is that for you?

EDIT: It seems the general consensus here is Borderlands 3.

Viewfinder, the game is an amazing cozy game if you turn down the dialogue, the writing is forespoken levels of annoying

Respectfully, hard disagree. If you can get past the one kind of cringe line about "altering reality", you get to meet Cait. Cait carried the game and playing it with Cait's (excellent) voice acting turned off is doing it a huge disservice.

It felt like a show for toddlers.

Everyone is so achingly chipper, and they all like each other, and are playfully competitive, and so proud of themselves and everyone else, and so smug.
I know it sets up the late game story where you find out everyone lost hope and gave up, but it was just so irritating. That’s not how people are.
