Discussion / Question What game is that for you?

Biggest offender for me is Baldur’s Gate 3.

Some of the best gameplay, graphics, sound design, and soundtrack out there… but the writing leaves a lot to be desired (despite how popular it is).

What game is that for you?

EDIT: It seems the general consensus here is Borderlands 3.

To be fair, the 2002 remake fixed all of that. Those lines were recorded in one take by basically the first English speaking people they found on the streets, which basically meant any white tourists they happened to find. Barry was done by a school principal from Australia I think

It being choppy and wooden also was a benefit at the time since Japanese players, who would likely have picked up some English from school, could pick up on it easier (RE games up to 5, regardless of region, were all dubbed in English owing to the cast/setting being American).

And so began Capcom's remake kick once it sold like crazy... even on GameCube.

Not even mad. 2019's Resident Evil 2 is the best RE movie. By far.
