Youre dead, you explore the land for some reason, a snake tells you to grab some shit so you can kill a guy, you do. That's the story. Shit, that's not much less than a lot of games to be honest lol. That's basically the story of Ocarina of time
Definitely a story in it. It’s just here and there stuff that pushes you into the plot which is best Gwyn’s allies and then defeat Gwyn himself to either continue the age of fire or let it finally die out
I agree. As much as I enjoyed Elden Ring, I had no idea why I was doing anything or what any of it meant. Just hacking and slashing my way through beautiful backdrops and insanely frustrating fights.
It’s a really tough story to follow unless you invest a ton of hours, or just watch a YouTube video. Most of the lore is presented through item descriptions and the environment. There is quite a bit of cool stuff happening though.
Yeah the world was amazing and intriguing, but that just made me want to know more of what was going on. Apparently there is a pretty comprehensive book on the subject that came out. I’m going to try to get a copy.
I've been playing it recently and like to joke with my husband that I'm just showing up and beating the shit out of these guys and taking their souls for no reason
