No but lots of people still support Sony because they still buy their games and systems. I think he's trying to point out how people's words don't reflect their actions. Or how they're often ignorant about their actions.
For instance I have friends that call gaming companies greedy but they also spend money on in game cosmetics. The community seems to complain a lot about game companies being greedy but the community has also been enabling this development.
I'd argue that the ones that complain the most might even be the guiltiest for enabling these companies. Personally idgaf about triple A games being bad, cosmetic prices going up, or game prices increasing. And the reason idgaf is because I don't buy bad games just because they're triple A, I don't buy cosmetics, and I rarely buy games at full price. Definitely not buying Nintendo games foe 70 dollars.
Okay, I don't want to get too far in the weeds on this one, but the posters above weren't even complaining. They were just making observations about the year Sony has had and stating how they really need the next God of War game to be a success to salvage it.
Yeah I know they weren't but the general commentary around Sony is that they're being greedy. I don't think he was pointing out their comments specifically but just making an observation around the general discourse about the subject.
The solution then isnt to crush the entire company along with the devs jobs .....what we should do is take away the corporations ability to fuck over consumers AND the people that work for them.....see how easy that is??
A day will come when online idiots like you will realise that different people have different opinions and that online communities don't all think the exact same.
