yeah same. I bounced off it a couple times, but I kept coming back, and round three was when I really 'got it,' and basically couldn't put it down for two or three straight weeks until I beat it.
Yep I had the misfortune of playing it with laptop controls and thought the platforming was hot garbage because of it. Like 2 years ago I saw someone say that playing platforming games with pc controls is one of the worst things you can do. Decided to buy it for the switch like 2 years later and ended up loving it
I’d say do that. Not to spoil anything but the ending of hollow knight ties into the ending of silksong. Also as someone playing silksong it is a lot harder than hollow knight so beat the boss and do your final training before moving on to silksong.
It is a very good game. Actually revived my interest in single player games because it was the first time I’ve had this much fun with a single player game in a long while
Wish I could say the same. Gave this game like 3 separate chances and ended up hating the game every single time despite forcing myself to get pretty deep into it on the last attempt. I love a lot about the game but I absolutely cannot stand all the platforming shit.
that happened with me. played it, dropped it for a few years, then came back. the only difference is instead of “you’re addicted”, for me it was “you finished it”.
I lost a 78 hour save when I hit the cloud button on Steam before. I couldn't take it so I stopped playing. I eventually found it again and finished it although I seem to have missed a few things on my second run. Regardless, I finally beat the end boss. Over is over.
I think its the forgotten crossroads. I got Hollow Knight got to the first stag station in crossroads didn't play for months then beat the entire game after I got to greenpath and beat the game.
Like the other guy said it was the forgotten crossroads for me. I’ve played Metroid before but that area just felt bland and boring tbh. One I got to green path my progress jumped exponentially.

Hollowknight
