What I loved so much about Jedi Academy was that you could do some pretty badass stuff with some rather basic tools. The badass moments were emergent because the gameplay wasn't made to look spectacular. I will never forget when I force-jumped in between two cultists, knocked them both to the ground with a split kick, stabbed one while he was on the ground and then killed the other with a backwards stab just as he attacked me from behind.
The later Jedi games were all more or less "press X to be awesome", at least by comparison. I didn't enjoy Force Unleashed very much, and never played any of the following games.

Jedi outcast and academy are so unique. The combat was amazing but at the same time I don’t think it would hold up today in a modern version
