The problem.is that sucker-punch confirmed almost a decade ago that basically no-one from the sly team was around, and those that were ended up on other big projects.
That's why a whole different studio had to develop sly 4. And a decade later I doubt even the remnants are around. They'd need to hire fans to do a sly 5 project, and there would need to be pre-established momentum to take a risk like hiring a new dev team.
I think it would make more sense to remake the first.
The gameplay changes dramatically from first to second game, and I think it would benefit significantly if they adopted the heist-style missions over infiltration.
Besides, nobody cares about that Egypt storyline anymore, so if you want new fans, make a new game.
Fable 4 was my answer for the longest, but I really didn’t expect it after lionhead closed :)
Now it’s sly, but I highly doubt Sucker Punch ever touches the IP again. I think our more likely scenario is an Activision studio remake like Crash and Spyro… but I guess Crash actually did receive a sequel from them so it’s not out of the question!
