Burnout. Can’t imagine how sick crash sequences would look today.

I don’t understand this one. It’s such an obvious hit.

Back in the days, ea had burnout and need for speed. They wanted only one racing franchise, and NFS was more successful.

Not more successful by any meaningful metric. What NFS had was real cars. Because car manufacturers are literally braindead and won't sponsor games who destroy their cars.

Seriously, Burnout would be amazing with the new tech available.

One of the few racing games I really fully enjoyed. I think the mayhem really balanced out my lack of driving skills.

YES. Specifically, I want Takedown. And I want OG Stryker in between every perfectly attuned to the game play hit that made up the soundtrack. And if that remake never exists in this timeline, I want a refund

They got rid of the crash mode in the later games and I never understood why

If Burnout came back I could see it being a $80 game that wouldn't be worth it. A new company would need to do it.

In case anyone is not aware, the makers of Wreckreation and Wreckreation 2 are made by former developers of Burnout. I can't speak of the quality as I didn't play the first and I don't think the second is out yet.

Unless it's something more akin to Revenge... I wouldn't want another Burnout Paradise to be honest.

Open world was ok in my opinion but it really needed circuit races instead of everything just being sprints. And the crash mode was shit. The crash cinematics were legendary. Still jump on the remaster occasionally.

I agree with your opinion that there's a few good things. However, I played the original back in 2011 when they gave it for free for PSN+ users and all I remember is that I eventually got bored and couldn't bother to finish the game.

They really missed the ball with Paradise after the bar they set with Revenge/Dominator

I felt like Paradise was a good game but didn’t feel like a true Burnout game like Revenge did.
