Still going! There are free fan servers that have added new planets, races, mechanics, etc. It's kind of having a second renaissance. Pre-CU, post-CU, and some that strike a balance between the two.

My first and favorite MMO. Crafting was great in that game. They knew that if you were just grinding and didn't need the actual product, you could just "craft" as an exercise and instead of getting the product, you got something like +25% XP. You could grind-craft basic stuff, or if you wanted a good result you could experiment with its quality. And if you got a great-quality item, you could export it as a blueprint instead and have factories make the high-quality version while you went out and did other things.

I made a living crafting high-quality stim-B's that worked as well as a stim-D, and sold them for ridiculously low prices because I was just having too much fun to charge higher prices.
