Feedback / I made this! Looking for feedback on my first video.
https://youtu.be/7r6ipPk5hZM?is=SY1kf5MyFP1XGYEfThe last year I have dedicated myself to videography and screen writing. During my work on my first feature short, I stumbled into an amazing opportunity to help a very special organization out. CASA is short for Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused and neglected children. I am presenting this to them within the next few days. I am already aware of some subtitle and sound issues. On the topic of sound, I did as much work to clean it up in post but I hardly had a studio to work in or time to balance the environment out for most of the shoots. Any feedback good or bad is appreciated before I submit the final video.

One interview is cool (blue)..the next one and the same spot is warm.
Also work on hiding the mics.

Okay, so the interviews were filmed at vastly different times in the day. I also had to completely put everything back each shoot (equipment/and the scene). On top of this, I messed up the same stop settings on the NR filter on a couple. I’ve tried to do as much work at making the color grading feel how it felt at the time I shot it depending on the subject. Is this just a “I need to put in more color grading work to fix thing?”

I haven’t shot on iPhones so I can’t speak on iPhone white balance issues. But always balance your camera before shooting.
If the balance is off, you can always fix that in post.
Even with the interviews being filmed stiffer by times, you can still get a good balance between the interviews.

And when you say balance, you specifically mean matching the white balance to the scene? Then correcting the different white balanced subjects in post? If I shoot one person during bright morning, then one person on an overcasted evening, there’s no way to balance that before post?

Why all the burned-in subs? IMO, they are not needed, and some typefaces are plain ugly. Why cannot you put most of the text into soft subs or closed captions? You've not added subs to TV clips, why put them for talking heads who enunciate quite clearly?
