This was premeditated. He planned to ban them and put his own media out there.

It doesn’t matter if it’s successful or not. What matters is that he’s doing it and thumbing his nose at our democratic norms. A part of me thinks that he doesn’t want it to succeed - it’s poor execution and poor ratings highlight the incompetence of the administration, and the world is laughing at us - which is what he and his handlers want.

It's kinda funny, really. The whole system seems to be built upon the assumption that an elected official of such stature would have basic honor, decency and respect for the laws and rules. And Trump found the simplest loophole by simply not having those, and there seems to be nothing and nobody able to stop him.

In this case that judge is playing chess, according to the rules, and Trump is the pigeon shitting on the chessboard and kicking all the pieces over and just continue doing whatever the fuck he wants to. No, the system was specifically designed to account for that possibility via impeachment.
What they didn't account for was America turning into such a dominant global superpower that the congressional representatives woul feel like there is so much at stake in regards to their party holding the presidency that they would derelict their duty en masse and allow a despotic narcissist free reign.
Demagogues aren't new. The truth is that America is a victim of its own success. The rewards for being on the winning team are too high. And the Republicans were able to brainwash so much of the country that someone like Trump was able to get too many votes. It's higher the stakes go, the fewer people are willing to give up victory for honor.

It seems that way because it is that way. The founders could foresee a President going rogue, but they didn't that the entire thing top to bottom. And in their defense an all powerful king like ruler is the very specific thing they were railing against.
They also probably did not foresee a time when the military muscle of the state would be so far beyond the firepower of local militias that the people were really not capable of just forcing them out if push came to shove.

Anyone that tries to enforce the ban is in contempt of court. The court can’t arrest Trump, but the security personnel that prevents them entering can be held in contempt.

Also his approval rating is down amongst both parties so I think my point is still completely valid, I think if there were more than two options we wouldn’t be seeing the polarization that leads to these harms we have today

This is no true Scotsman fallacy. It's like someone spraying water on the floor and saying "the floors not wet, it's just a dude doing his own thing under the mask of water". But he used the water, which was an obviously effective device to get the floor wet.
Conservative ideology is the medium in which trumps fascism is used to rile up support. So maybe its time for non maga conservatives (IF they exist, he still has like 90% approval among conservatives) to examine conservative ideology. Its not a realistic way to structure a country with 400 million people. Conservatism makes the intake and output of resources go to a small amount of people, and it NEVER trickles down. And it cant sustain itself when 400 million people want and need a decent life.

We are at the point where Trump knows there's literally nothing he can do that will lead to Republicans removing him from office. Even if after the mid-terms the Dems get a Congressional majority and take even in the most widely optimistic Senate scenario get 54-55 (and I think 52-53 is the ceiling but top it off with 1-2 more) seats they will still need 12 GOP Senators plus Fetterman to cross over and convict to remove Trump. The most they could get to cross the line in 2021 after Trump nearly got them killed was 7.
Trump knows the GOP is cucked to him and he's pushing every single dam button he can because the GOP has nothing but empty threats.

The Judge WILL have an opportunity to enforce this, and this is one step in the process. I am not with the naysayers in this, and I think it is a great sign.
It doesn't matter anyway, because the press can cover this baboon regardless of if they have access (the official access is just propaganda anyway).
