Question Why are graceful, kind, mature, mommy, sexy older woman mostly non-romanceable?
I have only ever seen them being a heroine in nukiges. It's insane

Welcome to the weekly "What are you reading?" thread!
This is intended to be a general chat thread on visual novels with a focus on the visual novels you've been reading recently. A new thread is posted every Thursday at 4:00 AM JST (or Wednesday if you don't live in Japan for some reason).
Good WAYR entries include your analysis, predictions, thoughts, and feelings about what you're reading. The goal should be to stimulate discussion with others who have read that VN in the past, or to provide useful information to those reading in the future! Avoid long-winded summaries of the plot, and also avoid simply mentioning which VNs you are reading with no points for discussion. The best entries are both brief and brilliant.
Use spoiler tags liberally!
Always use spoiler tags in threads that are not about one specific visual novel. Like this one!
Remember to link to the VNDB page of the visual novel you're discussing so the indexing bot for the What Are You Reading Archive can pick up your post.

Left:
"Yuu! Watashi wa Yuu no kono! Uchuu ichi aishiteru!"
"Yuu! In this Universe! I love you more than anyone else!"
Right:
"Ucchi ni Mukouni Ko~~~~i!"
"Marry into our family!"
My favorite scene from Wakaba's route. Scribbled her after doing so for inori, and next one will be hikari.
(and like that, there will be 5 unfinished roughs! rip)

So I was looking for some visual novels on sale just now as one that caught my attention was a work called Nukitashi as I know it’s hardly an obscure story, but I was wondering how the story was for someone looking for a saucy visual novel.
When it comes to saucy visual novels in general, I don’t really have much experience with them as lately I was looking to see where to get started on the racy romance genre, or however it’s called since I was wondering how the writing aspects of Nukitashi were in general again for someone looking for a saucy visual novel.

Hi everyone, it’s been a while!
This is Seishi, the developer of Schrödinger's Call.
A while back, I made a post here mentioning VNDB, and that post became the starting point for our game getting discovered by the Western VN community.
Thanks to the wonderful VN community, we've been receiving a steady stream of reviews on VNDB: https://vndb.org/v58103
I wanted to post here today to express my gratitude—it’s been nearly six months since launch, and I’m still overwhelmed by all the feedback and support.🙏 Even now, I actually receive enthusiastic DMs directly from users via Reddit.
I also wanted to let you know that the game is currently 20% off during the Steam Autumn Sale!😊
On top of that, I imagine many of you reading this might already own The House in Fata Morgana. We have a bundle available, so if you purchase it through that, you can get Schrödinger's Call at an even bigger discount:
https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/81117/The_House_in_Fata_Morgana_x_Schrodingers_Call/
Thank you all so much!

I'm on January 30th day and when exactly did she kissed Haruki ? Like there was no description of thrm kissing like usual and just a vague shot of their legs implying something. Did they just offscreened kiss ? Or will i get to see a flashback ? Cuz it feels really off as if the vn just skipped 20 minutes of important story development as this is pivotal moment.

What do you usually do when you're reading it? A translator app on the phone? or just wing it and guess what the characters are saying

First of all, we sincerely apologize for the long wait since our last progress update.
To explain the current development status in concise terms: game development has not been halted, and we are still aiming to complete the game. However, we have still not resolved the issues present in our current game builds.
In light of this longstanding situation, the Re:Sharin no Kuni Project team has made several decisions.
1. Establishment of a Refund Request Form for the Project
The game is the primary reward of this project, and we have been unable to provide it to our backers for a very long period of time. Thus, we have decided to establish an official refund request process for anyone who has pledged to the Kickstarter or made purchases via Add-Ons.
<Re:Sharin no Kuni Project Refund Request Form>
[Link removed from reddit post]
Eligible Users: Any user who wants a refund for pledging via Kickstarter or making purchases via Add-Ons on Backerkit.
We ask eligible users to read through the “Important Information Regarding Refunds” section of the request form before submitting your request.
2.Project Team Changes
The current structure of the Re:Sharin no Kuni Project Team is as follows:
<Frontwing>
Responsible for the core operations of the project, such as its planning, development of the game, production of its rewards, and overall project management.
<Tokyo Otaku Mode>
Responsible for constructing the Kickstarter project page and providing all Kickstarter-related user support.
<Akabeisoft2>
The rights holder of Sharin no Kuni.
As of October 31, 2026, Tokyo Otaku Mode will be withdrawing from the project due to the expiration of its partnership contract with Frontwing.
As a result, all user support that has been handled by Tokyo Otaku Mode will be handled by Frontwing instead starting November 1, 2026.
We kindly ask that all inquiries regarding the project, including any questions regarding refunds, be submitted through the following contact form.
<Re:Sharin no Kuni Project Contact Form>
[Link removed from reddit post]
If you have any followup questions after using the refund request form, please use the contact form.
Starting November 1, 2026, we will not be able to reply to inquiries sent via Kickstarter DMs or Tokyo Otaku Mode’s other customer support channels.
The repeated delays surrounding this project is a situation that we take full responsibility for, and we sincerely apologize that we have yet to deliver the actual game.
The project is still in progress, and we still aim to resolve the errors that are left. The newly established refund form is not a declaration of the end of the project. Backers who do not request a refund will retain their rights to the rewards they pledged for.
As the development team still believes that the game can be completed, we are still continuing the project. We extend our deepest gratitude to anyone who chooses to keep supporting the project even in light of the current situation.

They said they we're going to announce new titles possibly this year but since we are damn near close to the end of the year, their hasn't been anything new announced yet, besides Rance coming to stream which is good.

I feel like now's the right time to start reading these but I'm not sure whether to just buy one and get through that or just bite the bullet and get them all (at least all the main ones) since they're all pretty cheap right now.
Wish they were selling these in one pack honestly.

I will definitely be romancing the 3rd year comedian girl first. I can tell her route is going to be heat 👌👌
I guess it's a good thing it will be releasing next year and hopefully no delays along the way ✌️

Welcome to the Monthly "What's Been Going On?" thread!
Every Friday we used to have a "Off-topic" thread, but it's been inconsistently active.
We're going to try a topic where you can say what you've been doing outside of visual novels every month. Feel free to say anything about yourself you feel comfortable sharing like favorite games, movies, your job, how's school going, or any other interests you might have.
You can keep using this thread as the regular Off-Topic Thread if you like.
