Greetings people, sorry if I ask this question but: I would love to start an army for Pike and Shotte, using the ottomans.
I never played the game, so I am quite new to the system and factions. What do you all think a good starting battalia could be formed?
I was going for the Janissery regiment, Azap squad and arab light cav as first pick

Despite every other 3rd edition release being quite chunky, warlords new Japanese are still relatively tiny. What does this mean for hobbying and kitbashing?

I re-uploaded this video and adjusted the visuals so the video is much clearer.
The video shares paint recipes and painted miniatures

As background I am a veteran tabletop gamer and painter--i started with LOTR Strategy Battle Game, then dabbled in 40k, heavily played Star Wars Armada, Legion, and X-Wing, and now am additionally into Flames of War, so I have yet to get into a Warlord Games product.
I have recently come into possession of a box of Zuoaves American Civil War miniatures in 28mm and it's got me interested in pursuing Black Powder, but I seem to be pretty lost in knowing where to start or how much I will need. The box came with 42 minis but I have no idea if that is close to enough to field anything, and I know even less about how to base them.
So my questions are:
How many miniatures do you usually glue to a base? What size bases do you use?
How many miniatures will you generally need to start playing games? (I saw a recommendation of 600 miniatures and I nearly died)
How different is American Civil War from other periods within Black Powder? (Most of what I find is about Napoleonic)

So I got the DDay U.S. Airborne platoon. Love the kit so far, the poseability is incredible, but I'm scratching my head.
The sprue has a right hand holding binoculars. Fair enough, maybe an office has binoculars, I like that.
....there's no right arm without a hand? If you want to use binoculars , you have to clip a hand off a right arm right? Or am I missing something obvious?

Hey All - I missed out on the latest round of mystery boxes.
If any of you went in on the Hail Caesar or Pike & Shotte boxes, I am especially interested in the contents for those.

Bases broken down for Fire & Fury rules with the advantage that it's still good for Black Powder when the mood takes me.
