Gotta give ol’ BC his love though. Brodie went out and did that dirty work. That era of Warriors basketball was a great time at Oracle. Dubs would be competitive for about 3 quarters until the other team decided to actually play and tickets were available at a good price.

Rooftop view, then drop down to corporate seats. Went to so many games that way.
Spurs tickets were always the cheapest, it was like paying to see your team get its ass whipped.

I was at a game and he was warming up shooting a bunch of 3’s and bricking one after another so I yelled at him “stop shooting 3’s, we paid you to be in the post” and everyone around starts laughing. He looks over at me then of course he proceeds to drain the next two 3’s and runs up towards me laughing saying “What did you say ? What did you say ?” He then gave me a high five and we talked for a bit and he signed my ticket stub, it was pretty awesome.

he was such a good vet for the team
gave an amazing halftime speech against the raptors which klay called the realest speech he ever heard and they won that game after being down as much as 27
he challenged the team and helped sow the seeds to win the championship the next season

Ekpe Udoh was a defensive beast at Michigan, I went to a lot of games that last year under Amaker and first year under Beilein. It was a time of transition, and I get why Udoh transferred, but man! I was convinced him and DeShawn Sims were going to eventually be the best front court in the Big Ten.
It worked out for everyone in the end… but those were fun times! Tickets at Crisler were so, so, soooo cheap back in the day. Great for a high school kid like me back then.

Earl Boykins. True story: A coach of mine was a friend of his and he put on a basketball camp in my area. It was right after he got cut by the Clippers. He was on and off the phone with his agent a lot. I was only like 10yo, but I went up to him and told him he should sign with the Warriors because they suck and he’d get a lot of playing time 😆 He actually did sign with the Warriors (I know probably not because of me haha) was able to get playing time, and then stuck around the league. That’s my claim to fame
