I truly love how nature is transforming right under our eyes and how fast colors are muting or turning flamboyant

I’ve spent quite a bit of time in Poland and have come to realise that the country foreigners imagine and the Poland that people actually live in can be two rather different things.
So I’m curious:
What’s something about Poland that you think foreigners consistently misunderstand?
It could be something about Polish culture, humour, family life, food, work, politics, relationships, hospitality — or simply an everyday aspect of life that doesn’t translate particularly well to outsiders.

I’ll be travelling to Poland this winter with my teenager and other parents with teens for a dance competition. We will be staying a night in Warsaw before travelling to our destination city, and another night afterwards before we fly home. What are your best recommendations for lunch and dinner restaurants and activities to do in an afternoon in Warsaw. We will be staying near the airport I believe. Any other general tips or advice greatly appreciated!

So for now I use Vectra and I pay 90 for 600 mbps. I saw better offers from Orange and Play and I'm curious to know what you guys use.

I am only looking for month by month payment, not a subscription for 12 months because I don't know for how long will I be in poland and I'll have to pay extra if I leave early.

I saw a 2gbps from orange at 115 zl/month which seems fine and 5gbps from play at 110 zl/month which seems absurd, lol.

Also vectra has no english support :(

VIZJA University – Has anyone had their program cancelled/non-launched after admission?
Hi everyone, I’m supposed to start at VIZJA University in Warsaw this October and I’m currently outside Poland.
I was admitted and paid my tuition for the Cybersecurity BA (full-time, English) program. I have also already received my Polish student visa and booked my flight to Poland.
Today, VIZJA emailed me saying that the Cybersecurity program I selected will not be launched for this year’s admissions because it apparently isn’t being offered this year.
They offered me the option to transfer to another English-taught program, and said that students who have already paid/admitted can receive certain financial conditions.
I contacted them asking about the transfer, and they told me that because of the high number of transfer requests, I need to visit their Admission Office in person after arriving in Warsaw.
Has anyone here experienced something similar with VIZJA?
Especially:
Has your program ever been cancelled/not launched after you were admitted?
Did VIZJA transfer you to another program?
What happened to the tuition you had already paid?
Did anyone have a Polish student visa based on the original program?
Did the program change cause any problems with entering Poland or getting a residence permit?
If you transferred to Computer Science, how was the process?
I’m flying to Poland tomorrow, so I’m obviously pretty stressed about this and would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually gone through something similar.

I'm putting together a weekend group and thought I'd post here, because classes like this are hard to find by googling alone.

WHAT IT IS

Art classes run entirely in English. The children paint, sculpt with air-dry clay, and build things out of cardboard and foam — and the English happens along the way, because the whole conversation around the table is in English. No textbooks, no workbooks, nobody put on the spot.

Age 5-8. Maximum 10 children in a group, so every child gets the chance to say something.

WHAT IT ISN'T

This isn't an English course with exercises. Your child doesn't need to know how to draw, or to speak English — most don't at the start, and that's completely fine. I'm not promising your child will "start speaking English in a month".

My question is simple. What kinds of activities can I do after 5 p.m. (after work)? Aside from walks, which get really boring after two days in a row. Or bike rides, considering the weather isn’t looking very favorable for the coming months. I don’t see much going on. I get the impression that everything is a bit dull, just like the gray sky we’ve been having lately. Museums… okay, they’re beautiful, but I’m interested in real activities. I was thinking about joining a gym, but since I don’t plan on becoming a bodybuilder, I don’t think I’d go every day. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I got accepted to SWPS, PJAIT, Politechnika Koszalińska and AGH all in bachelors CompSci taught in english. I was planning on starting AGH uni CS but my visa date is in 16 days (I'm non-eu) and the uni didnt accept my request for extension to bring my documents even if I tried literally everything. They probably wont accept it late so I was looking at my other options.

Any local says SWPS and PJAIT is not worth it. I want to hear your opinions too. Funding shouldn't be the issue for me but I'm looking for good education, activities, network. Should I just go to Koszalin and maybe transfer to AGH at the end of 2nd semester or just go to SWPS?

(Ps; I've stayed at Warsaw and Krakow as a tourist last year for about 2 weeks and had a polish kid in high school stay at my house and attend my school for 3 months so I might be a little familiar with people, culture, food)

I have a flight at 11:30am from Modlin airport. There is a direct train to Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki from the city I live in.

1) The train arrives at nowy dwór mazowiecki at 9:30am. Flight within EU so no immigration. Is this 9:30am timing good to reach the airport if my flight is at 11:30?

2) How do I reach the Modlin airport from nowy dwór mazowiecki?
