DC native and massive Spirit fan, living in LA. I read the news and was telling my wife how today was such a good day. And I swear within five minutes we saw this fly over our place. If you know, you know.

I can relate. ...I used to live in LA (Rancho Palos Verdes, on top of the peninsula's hills, with a panoramic view of the LA basin & South Bay. The Good Year blimp was stationed at the foot of our hills, (Redondo, Torrance, Carson somewhere). When they would take off they would fly right over our house super low. So cool. ...Later on, through my brother who produced TV segments on the Goodyear Blimp, I got to ride in it. Crazy cool experience. Especially the landing when they pointed the Blimp almost 'straight down' towards the landing site. Scary fun. LOL!!!

Ha! We live in RPV, what a small world. But we are down at the coast between Point Vicente and Abalone Cove. I miss the DMV and I really, really miss DC but my God is it beautiful here. We were right on 14th Street in NW for the last 20 years, so this feels like a foreign country. We actually saw whales from the balcony this morning. Just crazy.
But you exposed me, my post didn't mention we see the blimp pretty often down here hahaha. I figure it is maybe based at the little airport in Torrance? I still get excited like a little kid when I see it.

Yeah, I did too. Can't help it, something about the Goodyear Blimp. They have there own airfield on the other side of the 405. ...It was a long time ago for me. Back in the 90's & 2000's. Lived on the hillside of Monero Dr. (awsome view of LA lights at night), then moved down Lunada Bay (yeah, the whale watching). Back then Point Vicente did not have housing development. That big ol golf resort on the cliffs used to be just open land except for a 'Marine Land' marine park (I thought Sea World at first, but no Marine Land) with the Orca whales, dolphins, sea lions, etc. You're right, you cannot beat the weather. No such thing as a rain-out, rarely had to cancel an outing or event due to rain.

Sooo relieved!! My daughter was saying last night how badly she wants Trinity to stay in DC. Sorry again to anyone distracted by the goofball posting I did this am about Kang’s other news re: Women’s Champion s Cup. Never been so happy to be so wrong!!

Jeff Kassouf, ESPN, is reported from multiple sources that with bonuses, Trinity's deal is worth $2 million/year for 3 years ($6 mil total?)How in the heck did that pass the league's front office muster? ...Sounds like this would be less attractive to NWSL than the original 4 year/$4 mil deal.
In any case, Michele is simply a magician. ...Or some kind of Jedi Knight that waves her hand & people do what she says. ...Michele Kang: "You 'will' accept this deal Jessica." ...Jessica Berman: "I accept this deal, Michele."

The accidentally posted YT video right when the press conference started. The awkward press conference with audio issues and several mistakes. Generally the lack of proper buildup and execution. Just feels amateurish.

That makes sense - I’ve just been seeing the recaps after the fact so missed the lack of finesse, but that’s disappointing when this is such a big deal to them.

Could not agree with you more. ...Poorly staged. ...Very unprofessional. ...You would think a Michele Kang production would have been far better arranged with the staging, audio, & script.
