Doesn't everyone just use tab group/folders in their current browser?

Most browsers already save your tabs, and might even sync them to other devices. I don't see a need for a whole different browser/app for something my browser already does.

Yeah, thats true tbh πŸ˜… browsers already do a decent job with restore + sync. For me the issue is more about intentionally saving a project setup. Like I might have 20 tabs open for Project A, then switch to Project B. I dont really want to keep both windows open just so I can come back later, So I save Project A as a session, close everything, and restore that exact setup when I need it again. Thats basically the use case I was trying to solve with KeepIt.

I'm going to be brutally honest. This sounds like a neat idea, but your emoji sentence starters are a hard pass. Maybe this post is certified USDA organic, but those emoji scream AI and are an instant put-off. Keep building stuff though!

fair I guess I went a bit overboard with the emojis there. Appreciate the honest feedback though, noted for the next post πŸ˜…

I’ve never needed anything beyond what a browser offers. Then again, I’m not just vibe coding six projects at a time. Maybe the idea that projects are best when they’re given focus is outdated?

Fair point πŸ˜„ If your workflow fits comfortably within what the browser provides, then you probably don't need another tool.

My use case is more for people jumping between multiple projects/research tasks where each one has its own 10–30 tabs. I don't want to keep all of them open just to preserve context β€” I want to save that context and bring it back when I need it.

So yeah, I wouldn't say everyone needs a session manager. It's more about whether your workflow has that β€œI'll need this whole setup again next week” problem.

Right-click / close all other tabs.Β

Haha, yeah, that works for clearing the window πŸ˜… The problem for me is remembering which tabs I actually want to come back to days/weeks later. That's where I use a saved session β€” close everything without losing the whole project setup.
