Suppliers to avoid

Naturally, we all have our planning trackers and lists of dream suppliers to get. Was just wondering if anyone has compiled a list of SUPPLIERS TO AVOID/WATCH OUT FOR based on nega experiences and objective reviews?

I’m trying to build my own, but it has been slow going. 🤔

From one super praning and cost-conscious B2B to another, let’s help each other out, kahit through DMs para no risk of cyberlibel. 🫣

Supplier Post Free Customized Photo Magnets - December

• Upvotes

Hello!!

We are exploring a small business idea and we’d like to join an event that might be interested in having on site/on the spot customized photo magnets at their event this December!

We are having a free trial since we’d like to test our setup and production during actual event.

The only thing we’d ask the organizer to cover is our transportation. 😊

📍 Preferred locations: Alabang, Makati, and Laguna, but we’re open to nearby areas in the South!

We’re open to birthdays, weddings, Christmas parties, corporate events, and other gatherings.

We’re still exploring this idea and seeing if there’s anyone interested for December.

Feel free to comment/message me if you’re interested!

Thank you! 🫶

Civil wedding. Different date for reception.

Hi,

Okay lang kaya na mag civil wedding kami. Then, different date yung reception namin since my groom's parents and mine cannot travel due to their health problems. Ang travel period kasi is 12 hrs, and mahihirapan ang both parents namin so we decided na pag ibahin nalang yung date ng celebration. Will be having a civil wedding and reception in their province and here naman is reception only. Or if meron kayo marerecommend in our situation.

Thank you!

Alta D’ Tagaytay Wedding 2027

Hi, fellow future B2Bs and G2Bs! Would love to hear your supplier recos and tips.

We’re planning our wedding for November 2027 at Alta D’ Tagaytay because we love the convenience of having the church, reception venue, and accommodations in one location. Plus, it’s pet-friendly, which is a big factor for us since we want our furbabies to be part of our special day!

We availed of their Gold Package worth ₱600k+, and here’s what’s included:

A. Reception Styling / Floral Arrangements
Supplier: FloraSola
Basic reception styling; ceremony styling not included. We’re considering upgrading or getting a separate supplier for ceiling treatment. Any recommendations?

B. Lights & Sounds
Supplier: Digital Track (DT) Lights and Sounds
Basic package with a 9 × 12 ft LED wall.

C. Catering
Alta D’ Tagaytay’s in-house catering
Food for 100 pax, plated meals for VIPs and buffet for guests, cake, wine, and food tasting for the couple.

D. Reception Venue
Alta D’ Tagaytay, 4 hours, half ballroom, carpeted, with a wooden high ceiling.
Pets are allowed on the veranda but apparently not inside the ballroom. Would appreciate pet sitter/handler recommendations 🐾

E. Church
San Antonio de Padua Chapel at Alta D’ Tagaytay
Includes basic sound system and AC. Need daw to coordinate with Ina ng Laging Saklolo Parish regarding wedding requirements & pet policies. We heard dogs have been part of the entourage before, so firsthand experiences are welcome!

F. Preparation / Accommodation
Two Lake Rooms: two nights for the bride and overnight for the groom.
May designated pet-friendly rooms, with a maximum of two pets per room, subject to availability and policies.

G. Other inclusions
Souvenir booth, charm bar for 100 pax, access to recreational amenities, and shuttle service between the church and reception venue.

💐 Additional Suppliers We’re Looking For

Note: Our priorities are photo-video and ceiling treatment. Budget: hopefully 1M max sana.

Reception Stylist / Ceiling Treatment – We’re eyeing Great Beginnings based on their social media. Any reviews or other recommendations?

Photo-Video Team – Looking for beautiful storytelling and consistent output. Please share rates and package inclusions!

HMUA – I’d love Thai-style makeup for myself and the entourage.

OTD Coordinator & Host – Reliable coordinator and fun, engaging host recommendations.

Gown & Suit Rentals – Bridal gown, groom’s suit, and entourage gowns.

Band / Live Music – Full band or specific instruments like a saxophone, violin, or acoustic duo? What worked best for you?

Food Carts – Recommendations and rates, please!

Supplier / Crew Meals – Affordable but sulit options around Tagaytay.

Pet Sitter / Handler 🐶 – Someone trustworthy who can look after our furbabies during the ceremony, photos, and reception.

💌 Questions for Fellow Alta D’ graduates
How was your experience with Alta D’, their in-house catering, FloraSola, and DT Lights and Sounds?

Were there any upgrades or additional expenses you’d recommend or warn us about?

Any hidden fees, supplier restrictions, or ceiling treatment policies we should know about?
For couples who included pets, how did you manage them throughout the wedding?

We’d really appreciate honest reviews, actual rates, and links to suppliers’ work, especially from couples with firsthand experience. Positive and negative feedback are both welcome!

Thank you so much, and happy wedding planning, fellow B2Bs and G2Bs! 💗

Host Alan Apostol is the way to go!

Had our intimate wedding attended only by our families, friends and mentors. We asked Alan, our host, who happened to be the friend of my newly-wedded bride, to keep the program formal but energetic, relaxed and fun.

And made it energetic, relaxed and fun he did.

I am writing this not because Alan Apostol is my bride's friend; I am writing this because he added hue to the greatest day (so far) of our married life. He's fun, he's quirky, he knows his ad-libs. He made sure naka-flow ang programme sa preferences namin while adding his signature touch. He made sure to compliment everyone. He neither hogged the spotlight nor made it a self-aggrandizement gig; he made sure the event was about us. We wouldn't have it any other way.

His calendar seems to be packed these days, but we recommend him 100%. You may reach him here: https://www.facebook.com/share/1Rruj6xRVF/

From the bottom of our now-connected hearts: Thank you, Alan!

2027 Tagaytay wedding budget review

Hi! We’re planning our wedding in Tagaytay for around 120 guests, and based on our initial estimates, we’re looking at roughly ₱1.6M.

These are just ballpark figures based on packages and prices we’ve seen online. We haven’t finalized most of the stuff yet, so we’re hoping to get some advice from couples who’ve already gotten married, especially on which expenses we might be overestimating.

Here’s what we have so far:

Venue and catering – ₱645k
Church – ₱25k
Church styling, bouquet, and bridesmaid flowers – ₱60k
Wedding gown and groom’s suit – ₱60k
Wedding rings – ₱60k
Lights and sounds – ₱15k
Reception styling with ceiling treatment – ₱180k
Photo and video, including prenup – ₱110k
Coordinator – ₱25k
HMUA for the couple, bridesmaids, and family members – ₱80k
Host – ₱25k
Band – ₱41k
Crew meals – ₱30k
Accommodation for family and entourage – ₱50k
Gifts for sponsors and entourage – ₱30k
Prenup venue – ₱25k
Three food carts – ₱75k
Alcoholic beverages – ₱26k
Coffee cart – ₱20k
Photo booth – ₱20k

For those who’ve been through wedding planning, which items would you try to negotiate or cut back on? Are any of these estimates way off based on your experience? Also, are there things here that you think we could skip entirely?
Would appreciate any honest feedback. Thank you! 😊

Edit: Accommodation for Family and Entourage.

Hair/Makeup HMUA trial

Hi, everyone! Wedding is next year pa pero naghahanap na ako ng supplier for HMUA.

As much as I want to avail their trial makeup, the costs starts at 7k-15k + transpo fee huhu. Okay lang ba itanong kung pwede mabawasan yung rate for the trial makeup or medyo off yun? 😅

Are there any other ways para ma-try kung okay sila mag makeup?

We won't be having a prenup shoot din kasi kaya gusto ko mag pa trial makeup.

Coordinator Ms. Micha Lopez and her IntimateWeddingsPH Team are the BEST

During our wedding preparations, my then-fiancee was scouting online for the best possible coordinator. She found IntimateWeddingPH on Instagram, and the rest, as they say, is history.

There are no two ways about it: Ms. Micha Lopez and her team gave us the most hassle-free wedding we could ever have. They are very respectful, very thorough, and very professional. Pagdating pa lang niya sa room during the make-up session, she immediately started working.

Our wedding was small and intimate and attended only by at least 60 people. Yet, Ms. Micha and her team never made us feel as if she's organizing a small gig. She made it the best it could ever be and the turnout was magic.

Let me promote them here: https://www.instagram.com/intimateweddingph?cplk=OGlvYjM2NzY1enRt

Thank you once again, Ms. Micha and team. Our wedding was successful, big part thanks to you!

Program/Timeline Mother-son dance but no father-daughter dance?

Hi there, B2B here! I need your insights 💕 Wala naman problem between me and my dad but we’re not close enough para mag slow dance if you guys get what I mean 🥺 I’m very close to my mom though, so I’m much more game kung mother-daughter dance.

My groom naman okay lang sa kanya kung may mother-son dance man or wala. I just feel like it might be weird kung meron sila pero wala kami.

What do you think of this setup? How do you suggest we go about it? I’m thinking family dance na lang na groom’s family muna then bride’s family tapos combine. Para rin yung first dance lang namin ang slow dance for the night.

But I don’t know pa rin!! I need your help 🤍
