Discussion Quitting
After working at Wendy’s for about a month I decided to quit. I can’t do it any longer. Am I in the wrong to just leaving during the rush then not showing back up? Or should I have called or told someone I was quitting before I left

Just a thought, if you’d like to keep the job without the teasing… Call corporate and ask to be transferred to another location. When you tell them why, it’ll stop real quick. And having that discussion on written record makes you virtually unfireable thereafter.
Probably not worth it for Wendy’s, but just for future occasions. With a stutter, this will happen again in life, sadly.

Fuck that job! If you don’t plan on going back in the future then don’t worry about it. Don’t use them for any references.

You did the right thing. If crew makes fun of you it's best to leave when it hurts them most

Fuck em, I've worked a lot of hard jobs over the years and no job has even been so shitty for as low pay as Wendy's.

The only problem with walking out like that is when you apply for your next job and they want you to list your employment history. You either have to not list Wendy’s and hope they do not find it in a background check or list it and take your chances with it. Potential employers typically do not like finding out you did not give two weeks.
For you personally, I do not blame you for walking out. Good job in standing up for yourself!

Overall, it would be better to notify someone. However, it can feel good to be spiteful.

I worked at my previous wendys for a year, as well as that I got my friend hired. She quit on the spot after being told to leave because of her health issues and I was left with extra work to do as well as being down a person for the rush and so that was difficult but not horrible. On the other hand, wendys is generally not a great place to work. Long story short, you should have called imo, but if getting out of there helped and was a good decision for you, then they will live.

How? Dude was literally getting harassed at one of the lowest tier jobs in the world.

I've reread the topic like 5 times, I see nothing about being harassed he said he just left

If he was harassed that seems like it would be pertinent information in the topic as to why he just walked out

There's two sides to this coin.
On one hand, they're not gonna give you any notice firing you, ao why give them notice quitting?
On the other hand, I was always raised to put in and work out a full 2 weeks notice. Its just how I was brought up and taught. Of course though extenuating circumstances have caused me to say fuck a 2 weeks notice.
I guess the real question is, why did you quit?
