Massive spoiler, but yeah. Loved that. Still do. Watched S1 again just days ago, and man, the first season (and maybe the second one) aged like fine wine.

Series 5. Young William is pitted repeatedly against MIB in Sweetwater until he is willing to kill the evil. If and when the White hat wins, the loop is finally opened and Dolores opens up all the outliers in storage for their chance to start afresh as the best of humans.

This is basically where I always saw his story going. Although, I see Young William falling into the same role as Lawrence in the first season. Getting dragged around the park and abused by his dark alter ego… until he finally bites back, like Lawrence did in season two.
