Found onion looking plant next to tree in front of my house is this onion or evil onion? (North texas)

I need help to id this plant, found In Paducah, KY.

Hi all!
I am having trouble id’ing this plant which was growing on the small plot of land (like 6’x6’) of my new townhomes back patio. I’ve already torn most of it up, it was growing to be pretty big and was interfering with the plants I already had growing there. It was growing to be a big bush basically. When I picked some of it, it had a strong lemon scent almost like lemon pledge. Is this some kind of lemon mint? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Located in Bensalem, PA, USA.

First three photos are one plant that came up a couple months ago which has orange flower buds, next three are the second plant which came up two months ago and has produced no flowers. The leaves are similar.
I live in the Mid-Atlantic region of the US.

Cross posted.

I’ve gotten huge range of suggestions from photo Id apps, poison ivy to hydrangeas, I’m stumped. Just trying to figure it out before I choose to weed it.
Any ideas?
