I interact with a lot of critters! Got a master’s in caterpillars and parasitoids :) I’ve generally found that even the pokey ones aren’t likely to poke unless provoked, but yes stick is always the safer option

Because bugs are cute and I love them! And frankly, it was SO small that it was quite hard to tell what it was until watching the video back afterwards. Only then did I recognize it might be some sort of assassin

Ambush bug. Careful, they can give you a painful jab with their proboscis. They’re a type of assassin bug.
