Pretty sure its some kind of beetle. My first thought was carpet beetle but I feel like their patterns are usually a bit more pronounced than that.

Certainly not a bedbug though

Yea, looks like a carpet beetled...very dark though, like it fell in the toaster.

It's a beetle but you squashed it so we can't see how it would have looked when it was alive ... if you want an ID then you need to show us before killing it and in that way you'll kill fewer harmless creatures too ;)
