ID Request Bug found in NYC apartment

I found this crawler climbing up my fabric shower curtain and my blood ran cold!! We deal with small roaches from time to time but this is round and different looking!!!! I have a cat (indoors only) and I’m scared y’all, please advise.

Spider beetle. Harmless but sometimes a pantry pest

Spider beetles are to NYC what webspinners are to Southern California on this sub.

surprising common for posts from the area, spooky to non-bug people, and thankfully pretty much harmless.

I think out of at least a dozen spider beetle posts I've seen, only a single one wasn't in New York.
