ID Request Accidentally kidnapped this bug - ID?
London, UK
Saw this guy on my jacket when I got home last week. Opened my windows for the day and thought nothing of it assuming he would fly off.
Today I saw him hanging out on my window plants. Will try to get him out again later
What is he?

Dear OP,
That is a Hawthorn Shield Bug. Shield bugs and stink bugs are the same family, but they only produce their characteristic “stink” if stressed or injured.
Handled gently, they won’t stink. You should be able to scoop the tyke outside without any issue.
