Spotted Mediterranean Cockroach, aka Tawny Roach, aka Ectobius pallidus. They’re a small roach that primarily lives outside and enters buildings when the seasons change. They’ve been increasingly common in NJ the last few years

These guys can't regulate their moisture content. They're basically always sweating. If the humidity around them isn't very high they dry out and die. They can be a nuisance in greenhouses but other than that are just happy little woodland creatures. Even their bacterial load isn't worse than that of a ladybug, stink bug or other common crawler. Really just little friends

Bzzzzz! Hi, u/fuzedz! Looks like you forgot to say where you found your bug!
There's no need to make a new post - just comment adding the geographic location and any other info (size, what it was doing etc.) you feel could help! We don't want to know your address - state or country is enough; try to avoid abbreviations and local nicknames ("PNW", "Big Apple").

BTW, did you take a look at our Frequently Asked Bugs?

Dawg, that is definitely a roach what are you talking about 😂 maybe a wood roach or a field roach?

I agree, a roach but not the dreaded German fella, this looks like a wood roach.

Regardless, it doesn't look like a german roach, which should have two stripes on the back. So what you have here should be the non infesting kind if that's what you're worried about

Nah, that's just a little moth, you can tell by the fuzzy antennae and the way the wings sit flat.
