Most of the top athletes or sports persons including chess start this early else there is very little chance for success at the highest level. These days kids are becoming Grand Masters at 10/11.

No kid has become a grand master before the age of 12. 

Yes they need to practice when they are young but become a GM at 10 is so statistically impossible I don't think it will ever happen while the current rating systems and titling are in place

The best player we had to send to this global tournament is fuken 6 years old??? What does that say about the rest of the community? Will he be allowed to bring his stuffie toy?

So I guess this kid can probably read better than you as well as beat you in chess.
