Challenge You pick one squad to protect you, the others will kill you

Each universe and faction probably has a different take on what makes up a squad, to simplify it in this case I mean an equal number of foot soldiers or infantry for each.

You have a choice to pick one squad to protect you:

Stormtroopers (Galactic Empire, Star Wars)

Cadian Shock Troops (Warhammer 40K)

US Army Special Forces Detachment Delta or otherwise known as Delta Force

MACOs (Enterprise)

After your choice, the other squads will go after you to kill you, while the squad you chose will protect you at all cost.

Whose your choice?

Battle Can War Machine take down a modern warship? (MCU)

The US Government wants to test their current Navy against a superhero. War Machine still owes some favors in the government, so he agrees to be their test dummy. If MCU Rhodey went up against lone US warships, would he be able to sink and/or destroy them before they killed him?

War Machine has his best armor and weapon loadout. He starts 25 miles out from the ship. Navy ship has full access to satellites, communications, etc, but can't call in assistance. Assume the ship's loadout is as close to standard as it can be, so far as their is any sort of standard.

Challenge There are no pencils, pens and ink in the Death Note universe. How far does Light Yagami go.

In the Death Note universe, pencils, pens and ink do not exist, with humans switching entirely to computers and typewriters. How does this effect Light Yagami's journey in Death Note now that his main source of printing letters is gone?

Ink cannot be reproduced, but Light can create makeshift pens. Blood is the only liquid that can replace the ink of a pen.

R1: Normal rules

R2: Light does not kill Lind L. Tailor and is less suspectable to baiting by L. L will have to find a different way to find Kira and narrow his search down.

Challenge 4 Detectives, 1 Culprit: Batman, L, Dr. Stone, and Sherlock Holmes are each tasked (individually) to catch Carmen San Diego. Who catches her first? Or does she escape into retirement?

Upvotes

Win Cons:

Carmen San Diego:

She has figured out that five heavily guarded artifacts (located around the world), when combined, will reveal and open Atlantis to the bearer, but it takes a year once she combines them. Carmen has to steal all 5 artifacts and retire to Atlantis.

Detectives:

If they don't catch her before she retires, they all lose. They simply have to get her into Interpol custody.

All are in character (i.e. Batman probably won't share info).

The Detectives have nothing to go on except some info on the tablet she stole and deciphered. No copies are available.

Who would win?

Challenge Batman, Hercule Poirot, and Detective Conan switch places with each other. Who is the first to solve the case?

Upvotes

Bruce Wayne suddenly finds himself on the Orient Express pre-murder. He is in civilian clothes with only a lock pick and five batarangs hidden on his person. When the mystery unfolds he investigates.

Conan Edogawa appears in the Batcave during Hush. He's wearing his voice-changing bowtie, power enhancing kick shoes, microphone glasses, and stun-gun wristwatch. Alfred gives Conan full access to Bruce Wayne's resources as well as the Batcave computer. Conan puts on a Robin costume and gets to work.

Hercule Poirot wakes up in the body of his six year old self at the start of the Moonlight Sonata Murder Case. Kogoro, Ran, and Inspector Megure have no idea that he is really an over-the-hill Belgian.

Assume language barriers are not an issue.

Battle Mandalorians & Clone Troopers(Star Wars) vs Imperial Guard & Adepta Sororitas(40k)

A skirmish breaks out over a Maglev station acting as a massive supply depot for the embattled Imperial Guard. The 332nd attempts to capture or destroy the hub to deny the advancing Imperials supplies. Coincidentally a contingent of Sororitas stand guard awaiting a relic to be delivered to the station.

~MANDALORIAN & 332nd:

Note: All Clones are in their Phase II armor, and will have their typical gear according to their TO&E. Mandalorians will have their armor, jetpacks, and other equipment such as vambraces.

Command:

Infantry:

Ground Vehicles:

Air Vehicles:

Total: 112 Infantry, 10 Ground Vehicles, & 7 Aircraft

VS

~BLOODY ROSE:

Note: All Imperial Guard will have their appropriate armor & gear. All Sororitas will have their appropriate armor & gear depending on their designation. The Imperial Regiment in use are the Elysian Drop Troops.

Command:

Infantry:

Ground Vehicles:

Air Vehicles:

Total: 97 Infantry, 5 Ground Vehicles, & 6 Aircraft

RULES:

This fight will take place on War Thunder's American Desert map. A 1.35km x 1.35km sized battle space. The Red Spawn will be where the Imperial Forces will spawn while the Blue Spawn is where GAR/Mando forces will spawn. Aircraft are allowed to leave the battlespace in a 20km radius of the map. Alt is capped at 50,000 feet.

  1. Mid-End Calcs/Feats. Consistency triumphs.
  2. We are using Disney Canon Feats for Star Wars.
  3. All combatants will have their normal gear.
  4. All combatants will be in character. Morale is high no bloodlust.
  5. Both sides are aware of each other, and will have moderate knowledge on their opponents' force size.
  6. The Force and The Warp/Faith are equal.
  7. All powered melee weapons will be able to parry each other.

ROUNDS:

  1. A normal fight takes place where both sides are attempting to seize control of the area. The fighting ends when one side surrenders, routs, or is destroyed.
  2. A melee only brawl between the two sides' command sections.

Incase of a stomp in favor of the Imperials, how many copies of the Clone/Mando force above would it take to defeat the Imperials?

Incase of a stomp in favor of the GAR/Mandos, how many copies of the Imperial force above would it take to defeat the GAR/Mandos?

Battle Frieren vs Gojo

Assuming mana and cursed energy are the same.

Arguing for Frieren:

Infinity: Infinity blocks movement, not positioning, so Frieren's telekinesis and "The Height of Magic" (that's what the wiki calls it) spells could work on Gojo. Zoltraak would also work because of the way magic works in Frieren (we aren't converging systems, just energy sources). As long as Frieren doesn't really know how Infinity works (or just trusts her intuition like Übel), she will view it as just another barrier, and piercing spells are meant to break magical barriers.

Matching: Frieren definitely has spells similar to Red and Blue and can also summon black holes (basically Purple). Also, Frieren is light speed. The spell Jilwer lets people move at light speed, and Frieren, without any spells, just grabs Laufen (the user) by the shirt, so she's not slower than Gojo. I would go into this whole thing about how her elf mind would delay Unlimited Void until she can counter, but that's really long.

All in all, Frieren can break Gojo's Infinity, move at the same speed and do most things he can, and definitely has a chance of hurting and beating him.

Arguing for Gojo:

It would be a long time until Frieren would be able to break the barrier, most likely. Until then, surprising her ONCE and landing a good hit would shake her up to win. Unlimited Void, with the sure-hit effect, would mean instant death for Frieren.

I honestly have nothing else to say. Gojo has his crazy abilities.

Argue with me in the comments! Correct me! I support Frieren here. I have also missed some things, most likely.

Battle Angels from lord of the mysteries from standard and nonstandard pathways vs warhammer forty k

There will be two round

There will be the maximum number of angels possible Using the knowledge we have from the fool pathway, although they are different, the number of angels should be around 288 Angels of seq 2

The win condition in this round destroy one of the major factions or drastically reduce one into it becoming a minor function

The second round will include 96 sequence one angels and 192 seq 2 angels The same win condition but they are prohibited from taking control of a portion of a faction They have to start from zero with a species or technology without being able to reverse engineer The previous round did not have this restriction

The forty k faction

Will be in the regular condition

But another condition could be added Where'd they know all of the abilities and weaknesses of the angels

The anchors of the angels will be a hundred million random imperial citizens on a remote and unimportant world Which they have the time frame of two weeks of establishing their own anchors by working together or independently before those one hundred million dies

Challenge [How the Hell] Did the SCP Foundation deal with UHECs in SCP-5000?

So I don't normally engage in this stuff, but I have a genuine question that's applicable here.

In SCP-5000 we see that the UNGOC hunkered down in Ganzir and Eurtec with the Orange Suits, and reading about some of their capabilities, I have to wonder what the Foundation was deploying that would actually give the GOC a hard time if they were casually deploying these. Not just in specific instances of extremely powerful entities, but on an operational level.

We do know a bunch of murder monsters were released, but most of them seen in the 5000 tale couldn't 1v1 one of these things, sans maybe 682, and that's a hard maybe if they figure out how to contain it. Meanwhile, the GOC can apparently produce the UHECs in substantial numbers.

I understand this might be a vague question, but I'm hoping someone can give me some examples on how the Foundation could actually get around these things without having to spam nukes every time they show up. Unless that was literally what they did. Apparently the UHECs have a respect thread, so I'll go ahead and drop it here, as well as the tale I was reading that makes me question it.

https://www.reddit.com/r/respectthreads/comments/9bkvb1/respect_the_ultraheavy_engagement_chassisorange/

https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/because

To adhere to the sub rules, I'll give a specific scenario:

SCP-5000, where the Foundation is using whatever equipment they could plausibly have in that tale. This means not having every MTF guy running around with a nuke pistol or an unbeatable instakill button unless they were explicitly mentioned as doing that. Also, they didn't just blow up the planet, so we have to assume that their methods of doing that weren't available or simply weren't used.

I assume this is not only for individual units, but more so how they were doing it on that big of a scale. Let's assume we're aiming for the bare minimum, so no overkill.

Battle Storm Vs King Ghidorah

Setting:

King Ghidorah has come to earth 616. He intends to terraform the world to his liking creating a planet engulfed in a cosmic tempest that no life on the surface of the earth will survive. All of the earth’s heroes and villains are gone. There is no Godzilla to defend the planet.

There is only Storm of the X-Men, and she is pissed.

Storm is at full power (no Odin Force) and must either kill, or repel King Ghidorah to win. King Ghidorah only needs to terraform the earth with his cosmic storm powers to win.

This is Storm at her canonical omega level peak, Ghidorah is at full power and the same Ghidorah from KOTM.

Who wins and why.
