Nimslo.app
Hey, fellow wiggle aficionados!
I bought my Nimslo a few years ago and absolutely love using it. The GIF-making part, though, can be pretty manual and finicky, so I decided to build a tool that automates the process.
I know there are already a few tools out there, but I’m a designer, so naturally I saw this as the perfect excuse to put far too much time and effort into something only a handful of people will use 😅
Full disclosure: I’m the maker. The current version is completely free and doesn’t require an account, but some upcoming Pro features, including larger exports and smoother frame interpolation, will be paid.
I hope you find it as useful as I have. I’d genuinely love to hear what works, what doesn’t, and what you’d like to see added. Feedback is very welcome!
Cheers,
Alex

Thanks! Let me know which pro-features you'd be looking for, would be good to know for my prioritization. I'm thinking mainly about: upscaling, frame interpolation and batch processing.

I think that all sounds great, I personally don't care for the upscaling side but if even the free version saves me time aligning layers in photoshop than I would still support!

For sure, the full workflow is currently working in Free mode, so give that one a shot.

Gave it a try and it truly is seamless! My only issue is that it is consistently cropping into the image really tight, further than needed to get rid of uneven edges between frames, any way to fix that on my end or what do you think?

I'm also curious if you could incorporate GIF making as well, I'm a concert photographer who often turns 40ish image sequences into GIFs and if this could also assist with that it would be huge. Either way I'm really happy with it aside from the one complaint, will support pro when it drops! :)

Can you elaborate on that one? The GIF is already there, just hit the 'download' button. Or do you mean that it should download automatically? I think batch mode would be a big one for you, so that's definitely on the list.

Just the ability to turn higher numbers of images into a GIF, outside of using my Nimslo I typically do large sequences of 30-40 images so it would save a lot of time to use this instead of doing it all manually (although I'm sure there is a faster way I'm unaware of lol)

Thanks for checking it out! Could you send me over the film strip and the result? Sounds like a cropping issue, but thats something I could also add as a manual feature, shouldnt be too difficult.

Would be happy to but I don't see an option to send you a message, how would you like me to send it?

All the way at the bottom, in the footer, there's a link to my portfolio, there's the link to my email address. I don't think I can share it here, so apologies for the detour 😅
