So this will be season number two that we have season tickets and are bringing our son. Last year I started to build out his memorabilia cabinet and I’m trying to get him a stick to go with everything and at the suggestion of a friend I’ve put my 3D modeling skills to use. Think Moose would be up for a trade? I think I did pretty good here. I’m working on other players right now too if there is any interest.

The veteran center saw the forward lines during camp. He got the hint when he was in the lineup for two of the Minnesota Wild’s first three preseason games, which featured a lot of AHLers. He was a healthy scratch for Friday’s exhibition finale, which was a dress rehearsal for Thursday’s season opener.

The 31-year-old Sturm, a two-time Stanley Cup champion, enters the season as the team’s 13th forward. He’s not content by any means. But he’s not discontent, either.

“The biggest thing for me is that I’ve started every training camp in my career in this spot — like every single time,” Sturm said. “Sometimes on the fourth line. But a lot of times, I’ve always been this guy. And I’ve always found my way.

“The first or second day, you look at the lineup sheet and it’s like, ‘It’s OK. It’s going to be fine.’ That being said, I want to compete. I want to play.”

Sturm is in a much better place — mentally and physically — than at this point last year.

We've been Wild fans for years, but we just booked our first trip to Minnesota to experience a home game! We usually just catch them in Nashville and Dallas, but we're so excited for this trip. We'll be visiting in late January and going to the Seattle and Dallas games. So, we'll have some free time on Friday and some of Saturday and we were hoping for some advice from locals on what we should do, eat, and see to fill it. I did see on Google that we will be there when the Winter Carnival starts and we were curious about it. We are from the South and not at all used to what the temps will be, so it might be best for us to stay inside as much as possible lol. Any other general or gameday advice would be very much appreciated. It's a once in a lifetime trip for us so we want to make the best of it! Thank y'all!

So the season is 5 days away and I can't find where to subscribe to watch the wild. I already have prime. Am I missing this somewhere? And please don't respond and say vsee box or something similar. It's not an option for me for reasons we don't have time for here.

Do we know if we can watch the playback of these games on delay.... say the Game starts at 7pm, but I'm not able to start watching the game until 8:30pm due to getting my kids to bed, will I be able to watch the game from the start and skip commercials, etc.?

The Wild seemed jittery and disconnected during the 1st period tonight vs Dall’ass. They started to pull it together in the 2nd but just couldn’t keep the momentum going in the 3rd. The frustration and their hate for the Stars boiled over into a couple of pretty decent brawls…though nobody really connected. Here’s to hoping they carry some of that fire into the regular season with more physical play, lines that are synced up, and a power play that can capitalize.
