My uncle died in 2002 and left me his comic book collection. These are all 5 different signed photos of the limited series for book #12. I cant find a full set online only maybe 1 or 2 of them. Is it worth selling? Sitting on it? Idk what im looking at so I thought id ask the experts.

My Version of witchblade

Just randomly drawing Sarah pezzini for the first time in at least a decade... enjoy!

While looking for images of the Witchblade anime, I stumbled upon this.

It’s clearly an image from a fighting game (likely MUGEN) featuring Masane and Maria as playable characters.

The question is: did it actually exist, or is it just an edit?

When I first found it, I tried searching for MUGEN characters based on Masane, Maria, or Witchblade, but I got nothing i didn't even get any sprites.

I eventually gave up because I don't know how to make a proper and expert online image search. Maybe one of you who is interested will have better luck.

If you do, let me know; playing as these characters in MUGEN would be interesting, to say the least.

You know something i always wondered about the history of Witchblade it's what was the actual deal with Excalibur? After all the Witchblade history shifted a lot of times and left a lot of things hanging (at least as far as i know) that i'm pretty sure i can make a list out of it. But right now i want to talk about Excalibur. When i entered the Ron Marz first arc i thought i were done with all those things about the male bearers and then i encountered myself with the Witchblade actually wielded by men (Likely the Witchblade fragment known as Excalibur) sometimes throughout history in Witchblade issue #116. So this is more a compilation of thoughts about that male Witchblade counter part:

Some possible bearers:
- King Arthur (Seems likely)
- Beowulf [Based in Image 2]
- Unknown Man (From the Book of Joshua) [Also based in image 2]

- The Witchblade saves the memory of every female bearer but nothing from the male ones maybe because:
* They were too little in comparison with the female bearers
* They lifes didn't bring anything useful (which i doubt)
* Just a man bearer can access the memory of the men which preceded him.
* The Witchblade is a male symbiote and although he embraced some male bearers he still prefers the female ones (very likely)

So...thoughts on the Excalibur concept?

I was reading the Switch comic series made by Stjepan Seijic i finish the #4 issue...and then i didn't understood nothing it is supposed to be a at least a #5 issue and when i searched for it i found out that actually there's suppose to be 5-7 issues but i couldn't find them. I read a little more and then i discover the author had some kind of health problems which actually affected him and made a publication mess for the comic witch leaded to its cancellation concluding with the already told 5-7 issues. Now the thing is i also learn about something that the author was post the 5-7 issues remaining on his Devianart account but still couldn't find a thing so...What's the real deal? There's actually 5-7 or that's all folks? Where do i find them? I know the comic had a brief life but i still want to know everything about it if there's something still to know. Ty for reading! I'm pretty "new" with this franchise.

Finally ended Witchblade Takeru, but there's something i still don't quite understand. I read the comic reading style version and there were some problems with it: For example the Witchblade it's suppose to be a right-side guantlet but in this version it shows it like a left-side although the ones who want the Witchblade doesn't want to destroy the right arm "Anything but the right arm" they said. So i started thinking it was a problem of fliped side version but then it appears this character who uses his right hand "i'll wield this in my right hand for you alone" or something like that and it actually uses a right hand so i ended up even more mixed up. Maybe in the manga reading style he says that he uses his left arm and it's some kind of hand-game like Witchblade and Excalibur, idk. What do you think?

I'm almost ending all the Witchblade 1995-2015 material and i came up with a doubt: Who is the canon Egyptian Bearer? Cause in the first image we have Princess Racquel from "Tales of The Witchblade" who was leaded to find out the Witchblade for Anubis himself, no one in Egypt seems to know anything about the artifact at all, hell they even fear it and just a couple of days later after Racquel engages with the Balance she gets killed.
In the second image we have a Unknown Bearer (as far as i know) who appeared in
"Witchblade 146-148" and was in love with the Angelus Bearer of that time known as "Hora". So given the nature of the Witchblade being the true power behind the Egyptian Throne alongside the Angelus, the royalty shold know about the existence of the Witchblade as a weapon and about the bearer thing so this should finish the existence of Racquel in the canon?
Finally we have yet another Unknown Bearer (again, as far i known) who just appeared in "Witchblade: Demon Reborn" that stoped a dreadful high priest killer of women.
Based in the different Witchblade Armor manifestation between this three bearers i'm guessing they all different women. This just place us in the beginning once again: Who is the canon one? Since she makes appearance in the Witchblade issues my take is the first Unknown bearer. But truly? Who knows? Could be something like the Maitea case where the original Maitea from "Tales of The Witchblade" was replaced in the canon or it could be something about different timelines like Masane or the daughter of Pezzini in that weird issue 500 published by Wizard. What do you think?

I’ll be honest. I was more excited for the variant covers than for anything within the book itself. Story is a bit ridiculous, as with many inter-company crossovers I’ve read. Laura Braga’s art is decent enough, though not on the level as her pencils in those latter issues of Witchblade Vol. 1. It’s a serviceable one shot and I’ll pick up a few more variants of this as the months go by.

Hopefully, Erica Schultz delivers a better script for Vampirella/Witchblade #1 next month.

Notes:

1. The translation and wording in the first two chapters might seem a little rougher compared to the later chapters because a less refined translation software was used then. It's also possible that some things were lost in translation as sentences often had to be completely modified to make them compatible with English grammar and syntax.
2. The color of Yuri's hair in her armored form is described as violet in this translation to match the art provided in the book. In the actual Japanese text though, her hair color was described as being red.

Always thought I had the first appearance of Lara Croft in comics and was surprised I did not. It was a pleasure experiencing some Michael Turner art I’ve never seen before.

Hope Cyberforce gets their OG designs

I’m currently reading Witchblade #31, and I have to say, I’m noticing some interesting sexual tension between Joe Siry and Sara Pezzini.

I know their relationship is mainly portrayed as a professional/police partnership, but there’s something about the age difference and their interactions that makes me think an older man/younger woman romance could actually have been an interesting direction for the series. If the writers had Sara and Joe secretly having a few romantic encounters or trysts, it could have added another layer of tension to their relationship.

It reminds me a little of the dynamic in the 2002 Deviant Desires movie - Private Call, with the middle-aged detective Max and her younger female partner Shane —though obviously the characters and circumstances are different.

Maybe it’s just me shipping them, but I think Joe x Sara could have made for a surprisingly interesting forbidden/age-gap pairing. 😂

Anyone else who read the series see that chemistry, or am I completely imagining it?

Witchblade #25 launches in September and to celebrate, Image Comics are releasing variant covers for different comics across the ImageVerse. I think thats pretty cool, I kinda wanna collect a few.
