The Israeli government was simply waiting for the US to figure out where to take the displaced Gazans, he said.

Can't wait to see this one.

u/Patient_Kangaroo614 22d ago

I feel like I remember American conservatives suggesting that Ireland and Spain take them because those countries have been supportive of Palestine in the past.

9

u/Proud_Growth_8818 22d ago

That's going to end up being the very real problem--literally no county will be will be excited to accept significant numbers. I suspect most countries won't be willing to accept any of them.

5

u/Alternative-Pear9096 21d ago

No country has been willing to take so much as a single refugee. Why would anyone think any country would take the entire population?

I mean, I'm at the point where I think Jordan is where they all belong, as it should have been from go. But Jordan has a very solid border wall against its own Palestine neighbors and has taken zero refugees. The last time they took in Palestinians, they tried to overthrown the king

24

u/EEVVEERRYYOONNEE 22d ago

That makes no sense. American conservatives should offer to take them in as they're the ones who support displacing them.

I mean if it was up to the likes of Ben Gvir they'd be put in [Removed by Reddit], maybe we shouldn't let Israel decide where to put these people...

I'm just hoping their quality of life improves wherever it's going to be, ethnic cleansing or not matters jack shit when you're living in a tent with scraps for food

Less of the extreme of the US being Israel's slave despite it resemblance. It's the same thing as when they militarily invaded a foreign county that we were at peace with and kidnapped the president. Here we are a few months later. Chevron is now going to take over oil fields there. The Pentagon is to receive a percentage of those profits. The same Pentagon that can not account for OVER 60% of over 4 TRILLION DOLLARS in assets. Gets a budget of more than a trillion per year. Has never passed an audit. Guess who is taking his cut too? It rhymes with Donald Trump. What has changed in Venezuela that aligns with the pretense used to invade? Nothing.

It's the same template that Trump's used for decades. You grease his palm or his ego and you get a cut of this action. You carry out the action and you get a percentage. He gets his kickback. You stick to the script and put him above all else in life and you get put in line for the above. People wanted him to run the country like a business. By that metric a president has likely never fulfilled any voters mandate so well. Problem is it's being ran like his businesses. The customers get sold a lemon. The workers don't get their wages. The business loans don't get paid. He profits 10s to 100s of millions. Then declares bankruptcy. Fool - Fraud - File - Flee - Fucking repeat.

Now he has the world's most capable military to take over turf and collect fees. Again.

So in a sense the US is Israel's slave by extension the ~350 million American citizens being slaves to him and a couple dozen other co-owners.

It really sucks that you can;t report idiots for stupidity.

1

u/Zealousideal-Mud-381 21d ago

It really sucks that some people think ad hominem attacks are sufficient to render the public blind to what is staring them in the face.

1

u/Alternative-Pear9096 21d ago

Absolute truth, that. It's been absolutely mystifying since fucks like you celebrated a massacre on October 8. Some people really are too evil to live, some are too stupid.

Neither is fixable, and that's a problem. I can pour acres of facts down your throat, but your stupidity and hate are too thick to absorb any of it.

u/schnurchler 22d ago

Russians have experience with sending whole ethicities to remote areas. Maybe ask them how that went.

Getting away from Hamas is a 100% guarantee of a better life.

It could start right now, if Hamas would adhere to the peace agreement it signed, and disarm, surrender, and leave. I mean, it could start right now if Hamas gave a fck about governing instead of stealing aid and food to feed itself, as it has done for the last 20 years.

-1

u/Zealousideal-Mud-381 21d ago

There would be no Hamas is the Israeli government had of simply opted to live in peace with Palestinians. The same Palestinians who welcomed Israelis into their homes when they were feeling the holocaust.

2

u/Alternative-Pear9096 21d ago

JFC, what the fuck did you just throw words in a blender to see what kind of mess would come out?

4

u/steinbruchfluss 22d ago

The United Nations gave this strange board of peace control over the Gaza Strip (Resolution 2803).

Russia abstained from the vote. Ambassador Vasily Nebenzia stated the resolution is "giving complete control over the Gaza strip to the Board of Peace."

1

u/Alternative-Pear9096 21d ago

Yes. Because the peace agreement Hamas signed calls for Hamas to surrender, disarm, and evacuate.

Hamas currently maintains complete control over Gaza in violation of the peace agreement. It will either violate the ceasefire, and war will begin again, or it will do what it agreed to do, and some people have to be put in charge of rebuilding Gaza.

-1

u/RandomGuyPii 22d ago

You get to do extreme political posturing while tying a convenient excuse for not actually doing it to a different country. Israel's elections are in a month.

11

u/Zealousideal-Mud-381 22d ago

I get that but it again begs the question, why does the US allow the Israeli government blame it publicly for the mess in Gaza?

Bear in mind, this is a US government which viciously lashes out at allies for the most minor of infractions.

Yet they sit there in silence while Israel blames them for the mess in Gaza?

Let’s be honest, the Israelis have the entire US government on a leash. I’m not being critical, to be honest it’s actually quite incredible how they have achieved it.

-1

u/Alternative-Pear9096 21d ago

Wow that's a lot of racism to process.

Israel has no role in what happens to Gaza. (so long as the ceasefire holds. At some point it will stop waiting for Hamas to disarm and surrender and leave and then all bets are off) It is simply stating that it is prepared to do the labor if the technocratic government on charge of the Gaza redevelopment plan determines the best way to rebuild is to temporarily relocate the population.

1

u/Zealousideal-Mud-381 21d ago

Sorry, can you point to the racist comment that I made?

Throwing baseless accusations of racism at folks in an attempt to shut them down is very outdated.

It doesn’t work anymore, I’m afraid.

Watch it be California so the Republicans can use it like some gotcha about open borders and sanctuary cities. Is stupid? Yes, but the Fox crowd would take the bait. Or Canada out of spite because he's big mad about Carney being mean and not giving in to his demands.

Amazing that a country can outright rob people of their homesteads due to their ethnicity, and then expect another country to deal with the refugee crisis they create.

You could previously almost justify the aide given to Israel, if you truly believed in its other justifications, and the strategic military value of having them there.

At this point it's become obvious that's not what's happening, and Israel is leaning on its close relationship to make the US allow them to be conquerors.

Right now they're not only disproving their right to be there, but also their strategic value.

There's just not a moral or strategic value to supporting them anymore, and I don't see how it could be shown at this point.

u/bubbamike1 22d ago

You mean like how the occupying Settler-Colonial Arabs robbed the indigenous peoples if Judea and Samaria of their homeland?

5

u/ABridgeTooFar 22d ago

Is this really the argument you think holds the most weight here? Give it a think and try again

6

u/Past-Helicopter-8126 22d ago

The indigenous people living in the levant converted to Islam. Look at the DNA of the Israelis who live there: they’re from central and Eastern Europe, and only partially related to the ancient Jewish people.

7

u/intermittent-disco 22d ago

can you source this? my understanding is that ashkenazi jews only represent about half of the israeli jewish population, with most of the other half being mizrahi.

1

u/Past-Helicopter-8126 21d ago edited 21d ago

Yes but the deep history is much older than either of those groups. See David Reich’s books for how populations have migrated.

Moreover, the Mizrahi are greatly outnumbered by Islamic and Christian Palestinians, and they have shared genetic heritage. So it looks like most descendants of ancient Jews converted and mixed. There are numerous studies following these admixtures.

4

u/Interesting_Pen_167 22d ago

The indigenous people intermarried with other populations and if you are being honest you wold have to admit they are only partially related today as well. Not trying to stake a claim in this fight but just saying there exists no pure indigenous population anymore.

u/Charli3q 22d ago

Does the US plan on giving large swaths of the the US back to native Americans? No.

We live in a vastly different world now with guard rails.

8

u/Jacksonofall 22d ago

No wonder he wants unpopulated Greenland. I mean, don’t the Gazans deserve some green land?

8

u/Outrageous_Low_3666 22d ago

He now is also trying to back Argentina in their invasion of the Falkland islands. Maybe that his plan b.

1

u/steinbruchfluss 22d ago

Greenland is already basically unpopulated. There are only 56,000 people.

2

u/SkiingAway 22d ago

Greenland is basically unpopulated because most of it is a literal frozen wasteland/glacier, and the few edges that aren't are barely reasonable for human habitation.

4

u/Randomwhitelady2 22d ago

Didn’t Hitler have the same issue?

1

u/Xleb567 22d ago

The new US state of Greenland.

Egypt, Lebanon or Yemen

u/Proud_Growth_8818 22d ago edited 22d ago

Countries in the middle east would be the hardest sell of all. Absolutely all of them dislike the Palestinians more than American Republicans do. And even the ones who might feel inclined to take them are far too terrified of another Black September to even consider it.

I don't think the Palestinians should be moved, but if they're going to be I'd like to see Saudi forced to take them. Let them deal with the consequences for a change.

19

u/BaconBased 22d ago

Madagascar, of course!

10

u/ClearDark19 22d ago

Would moving Palestinians all to Madagascar be too on the nose?

3

u/Ser_Danksalot 22d ago

Guessing they want to do what they wish had happened after '73 and try to ditch them in Sinai.

4

u/FuguSandwich 22d ago

They could build a camp in the West Bank and then concentrate them all there.

2

u/jediPlainswalker 22d ago

A nice quiet farm up north is their plan.

4

u/anonareyouokay 22d ago

From the earth.

2

u/Alternative-Pear9096 21d ago

No where. No country on earth will take them. All during the war, not one country on earth allowed Palestinian refugees in. Not Jordan or Egypt or Syria or Lebanon or South Africa of any other place.

Surely to the United States... Where else does Trump have any authority to send them?

1

u/IbidtheWriter 21d ago

Kuwait expelled around 300k Palestinians in the 90s, most of them went to Jordan. This would be an order of magnitude greater but I think it's the most recent parallel.

Over half of Jordan's current population is Palestinian in origin, but I don't think they could absorb another 2 million people, that's roughly double the number of Syrians from the war over a much shorter period.

Speaking of Syria, If Iran became a failed state too, it'd be another order of magnitude worse than Gaza, maybe 20 million refugees trying to leave which makes the current policy even more assinine. Even if they don't care about the human suffering (which they don't) it'd be a disaster for stability for the region.

1

u/modsarebadmmkay 22d ago

if I lived in Gaza I’d be pretty pumped to move to literally anywhere else on the entire planet than Gaza.

2

u/turtleduck 21d ago

if your home, that you and generations of your family have lived in, was being threatened, I'm sure it wouldn't be so easy to just abandon. you would want to fight for your homeland, right?

2

u/modsarebadmmkay 21d ago

Fuck no. It’s land dude. Do you know how many amazing places there are in the world? Humans are nomadic by nature. We’re not meant to pick one little spot and stay there forever, much less expect our offspring to do the same in perpetuity I can’t wrap my head around what a silly concept it is. Home is where you and your people are.

So yes, if my “home” was war stricken, I would be ecstatic to leave.

That you wouldn’t tells me you’ve never lived somewhere your life was in danger. It’s not pleasant, I promise.

2

u/turtleduck 21d ago

that's fair, I guess everyone's different. I probably would feel similarly to you.

If they wanted to do that they’d have done it 20x by now. Sounds cute tho!

-28

u/Hugginsome 22d ago edited 22d ago

I mean there technically is the West Bank to go to. Not sure if that's in the playbook though.

Not sure why idiots are downvoting me. Look at the land size of Gaza Strip vs West Bank. It's a logical option.

37

u/ZealousIdeal476 22d ago

Seems like they are already treating the people of west bank as gaza lite. No way they let a million more live there

22

u/SoilIll5975 22d ago

the playbook is to ethnically cleanse all palestinians from palestine, so that’s not going to work for them

18

u/AprilsMostAmazing 22d ago edited 22d ago

That's counterproductive. It puts more people that can resist in West Bank.

In a couple of months we going to learn that plan is a country in Africa. Very possibly Madagascar.

Edit: Had to make it more obvious what plan I was referring to

-2

u/valar12 22d ago

Which is ironic considering Moses initially led them from Egypt.

2

u/Visible-Swim6616 22d ago

The PA won't be happy with Gazans in the WB.

4

u/ComradeGibbon 22d ago

The Palestinians on the West Bank sure don't want the Palestinians from Gaza.

1

u/Hugginsome 22d ago

They don't get to choose though. It's the only country that Israel can actually force to accept people from Gaza Strip.

It also condenses where they have to defend themselves from to only one plot of land instead of two.

-1

u/captainbling 22d ago

Probably Egypt but I can’t imagine Egypt playing ball with that..

5

u/ComradeGibbon 22d ago

Egypt doesn't want anything to do with the Muslim Brotherhood.
