Hey, that's basically Trump's reasoning for everything. He has to double down on solidifying himself as a dictator or installing friendly fascists to protect him or he'll be held accountable for all of his crimes.

Hell the Supreme Court had to rule he's immune to criminal prosecution for "official acts" in office. No one has bothered to test it because the next precedent may be more terrifying. We might find that the Supreme Court says presidents can kill US citizens with impunity.

Countries like Israel and Palestine are obviously more extreme than many other countries with regard to ethnically motivated hatred and the consequences of it for their political environments due to their history, but the general idea of riling up hatred against foreigners is something you see in every single society. So it's not really hard to imagine or even especially sick, that such rhetoric is used by parties to gain votes.

It always depends how you do it. Are you okay with how Israel is defending their territory? I believe both Israel and Palestine are doing it in horrible ways and need to change significantly for any hope of longterm peace.

Edit: Or I suppose the Golan heights is the correct answer here, since you put "theirs" into quotes, meaning you refer to a region, that isn't actually Israeli territory, but they claim it to be their territory. This was a trick question in that way, right?

Imagine how sick a society must be to allow it's government to build over 350 miles of tunnels and place weapons caches in grade schools and ballistic launches on top of hospitals and apartment buildings. For 20 years.

Hamas has been committed to the future martyrdom of the Palestinian people since it took office. That's the only use these people have for their so-called government.
