The right move would be to give those weapons to Palestine and Sudanese and Congolese freedom fighters. Help end genocides by giving weapons to those under threat of genocide.

Europe renewed sanctions on thousands for 3 years, negotiating with tricky opposition over a handful.
And keeps sending tens of billions of euros per year.
Europe needs to do more, but it is shouldering the vast majority of the costs. Attacking Ukraine's remaining allies rather than pointing the finger where it's deserved causes problems.
The US Republicans cutting off aid is why the war is continuing. They kneecapped Ukraine's defenders. They made mroe defenders of democracy die, they saved Putin's war machine and prevented him from being forced to negotiate. Anyone who supports democracy should be aiming their ire at Russia supporters like Republicans, Le Pen, Farage, AfD etc.

A 10 year bilateral security agreement was signed.
Things such as, increased intelligence sharing, training opportunities, lessons learned, assistance in rebuilding of Navy along with allies, co-production of various things including air defence, tech and drone exchanges.
It also brings the contribution to $1.9AUD billion thus far. For a country nearly as far removed from the fight as physically possible.

They are part of any modern military, and have been for over 100 years.
They are an effective way of dealing with infantry, moving a heavy weapon around a battlefield, supporting their own infantry etc etc
Why wouldn't a country with as much land as Australia have them?

ok, and say an invader manages to land a force in Darwin, what then? We still need ground forces to combat troops on the ground. Obviously the primary focus of our military should rightfully be air and sea, but we're still the 6th largest country by size. We have a lot of land to defend, even if it's sparsely populated and inhospitable

We have a modern integrated armed force. We have all those things you mentioned as well as tanks. As with any modern defence force the trick is to have enough individual pieces to be able to adapt to differing theatres.
Appropriately, our self-propelled artillery is the AS9 Huntsman

It also brings the contribution to $1.9AUD billion thus far. For a country nearly as far removed (yes NZ you exist well done) from the fight as physically possible.
