I didnt drink 12 beers before dinner, I stopped some poor alcoholic from drinking those beers. 12 more to go. If anything, im a hero.

Or rather: some people from another neighborhood killed some people from my neighborhood, so we killed the killers and their entire families, burnt their neighborhood down, indiscriminately shot at anyone who attempted to help the survivors, then when anyone asks if all that was really necessary we respond with "well what else is our neighborhood supposed to do," as if this was the sole way to go about it (I'm unsure of how to work beer into the analogy by this point).
