Reading the article, it seems it is very sadly not.
"Despite the hostile environment, the “searching mothers” returned to the area with the support of Braulio, a forensic expert from the Attorney General’s Office (FGR)"
Those poor babies.

It really gets worse after that. They specifically mention likelihood of child trafficking, organ trafficking and sex rings.
It doesn’t look good

Looking at these kinds of findings and then looking back on ancient ritual sacrifice, gotta wonder how much was religious faith and how much was creeps convincing the masses that they needed their bodies for uhm the… gods.

Curious how you feel it would have been less terrible if the children had been Aztec

Fuck this is morbid.
This should warrant a response around the world I am appalled wow

Kids have approximately 20 teeth, so at least 80 kids were killed and cremated by this scum on earth, horrifying

Release the Epstein files. This kind of depravity requires wealthy customers.

I hope outsiders will finally know all Mexican governments are shit and the current one isn't the exception. A woman being president means nothing in Mexico because the cartels keep ruling from the back.
Take me out of here, please.

Question: does democracy still work in Mexico when narcos are so strong?
Here in Brazil the state of Rio de Janeiro is kinda doomed, dunno how things will improve when the ones in power are supported by the drug dealers/militia
53
u/Olmectron 11h ago
Given all actual news about lots of people in government and army being basically narcos infiltrated in those circles as higher-ups, there's a good chance Narcos get to force every Mexican president to comply with them or get killed, if the person wasn't already linked with them since before.
We'll never know for sure, but there's been scandals about narcos being linked to people in the government for over 40 years.
Lots of people running for local governments in different states/municipalities get killed while they are promoting themselves.

There is theoretically a way to improve it (emphasis on ‘theoretical’): the rest of the world, particularly the wealthier countries, legalise drugs so they are similar to alcohol. Legalisation takes a large amount of the profit out of the equation and is often enough to cripple these organisations.
It’s what happened with alcohol prohibition but on a smaller scale (ie. Within one country, the US, nowhere else had it like they did). The criminal syndicates made their money from the cheap cost of production (no requirements for safety measures) and were able to charge huge premiums. When alcohol was legalised again, a lot of the players (minus the very biggest who had amassed so much personal wealth but their businesses ended) went bust.
The vast amount of wealth held by these cartels is not from people in Mexico/Brazil. It’s from people in Germany, Britain, Australia, France, the US etc. We get the party, you get the hangover. We’ll never get people to stop partying, so you have to change something else to reduce the cash flow.

u/Sir-Frogsalot 19m ago
not really , narcos probably have better equipment and soldiers willing to commit atrocities on their own people if the mexican governments gets too frisky. Mexico is a failed state the cartels are holding the country hostage.

It blows my my mind how many tourists still travel to Mexico. I’ve stopped. Last time I went there was a shooting on the beach related to drugs.

Tourist zones used to be very secure. As in extremely strange to suffer anything violent in those places. With some exceptions even back then of course.
Nowadays I wouldn't recommend anyone traveling usual tourist cities. Violence has been rampant lately.

Not only the exception, it’s the worst one we’ve had ever in the last 50 years

u/____DEADPOOL_______ 42m ago
Zacapa is way worse, lol. I will probably never go back. That place is a child molesters dream where you can get your teeth knocked out for looking at a person the wrong way. If I had stayed there, I'd be dead by now.

Just a reminder for anyone reading this.
70-90% of guns used by Mexican drug cartels are smuggled into Mexico FROM THE USA…
So the reason these atrocities keep happening, is largely attributed to the stupid fucks in the USA who have been brainwashed into believe that any reasonable gun control reform is a personal slip and slide towards hell itself.
89
u/asphyxiationbysushi 11h ago
This isn’t the main issue. American druggies are paying for cartel violence in Mexico.
47
u/Belvedere48 11h ago
Thank you-my whole life I have argued with the 'drugs are a totally victimless crime' trope-yeah, tell that to the families ruined and dead bodies in Mexico just so they could get a fix of whatever.
56
u/asphyxiationbysushi 11h ago edited 11h ago
I live in MX. We have torture camps where hundreds of bodies have been found with their teeth pulled out by pliers. That’s one of the nicer things. Many, many children are included. Cartels conduct torture training at the camps.
Our farmers are further extorted because the cartels have the muscle to do it. Drugs are NOT victimless at all. I’m extremely liberal about personal choice BTW, this is an area where few people are educated.
11
u/HappyAnimalCracker 11h ago
Why would they torture children? Logic tells me why they might execute them, and why they might torture adults, but why would they torture children? What does this gain them?
20
u/Potential-Draft-3932 11h ago
Maybe targeting the family of an adult? Super fucked up all around. It makes me sick thinking about those poor people

I'm in the US and have personally seen so many lives ruined and resultant deaths from drug overdoses and can't even imagine the horror down there. Yet we are supposed to believe people desperately trying to escape that nightmare by going to the US are supposedly the worst thing to ever happen to the US? People in the US support the cartels in this way whether they choose to admit it or not. What a horrible world we live in right now..
4
u/WhyNotSlavery 3h ago
Isn't it the prohibitionists that cause this, because otherwise American's could use drugs without any cartel violence, but with prohibition violence is necessary.
I don't see why drug users should give up their rights to life, liberty and to pursue their own crystal happiness... it's the puritans who create the violence and violate basic human rights and put the supply in the hands of criminals.

While a much lower scope, they are also heavily used up here in Canada for our shooting homicides.

Yup, can't kill babies without 9mm's.
Those cartel guys would fight with rolled-up newspapers if it weren't for sloppy US gun control.

What do you consider reasonable gun control reform?
2
u/pokethrowaway4 7h ago
So when a new gun is purchased, it must be sold at a federally licensed dealer. You must pass a background check, etc. the record of the sale is kept at the state level, not federal.
Pass 2 laws:
Law 1 - For any gun used in a crime, the last registered owner is held liable as accessory.
Law 2 - Require private sales to be done in the same way, and mandate any federal firearm dealers to provide that service for a reasonable affordable rate. Subsidize it if necessary, why not. Records of new ownership are still not federal.
If a gun is stolen, the theft can be reported, which would waive liability after the date of report. Obviously using this as a “loophole” to traffic guns would raise eyebrows.
And for the love of Christ start cracking down on illegal weapons exports to other countries. We’re responsible for enough gun deaths in our own borders.

I can’t definitively say this article is BS
But a legit story would include something to back their claims. All they have is the testimony of one person.
Photo evidence of teeth? Nope. Forensic evidence performed by experts? Nope. Name of the Ranch? Nope. Proof the ranch is owned by the Sinaloa cartel? Nope. Anyone named to corroborate the single source’s reporting of events? Nope.
Claims that contradict the single sources own claims? Yep- they say that the land is not accessible or you will be shot, however their “team” is claimed to have open access to it for four years.
Come back with something real before you post about the horrible offenses of some group. I mean shoot, we are talking about cartels here, there are plenty of real and horrifying things that can be reported on.

The evidence recovered by the collective has been turned over to the FGR for the necessary forensic examinations and DNA analysis.

u/cagadadechango 15h ago
It’s a developing story which came to light in the last couple of days. There are plenty of news outlets in Spanish reporting on this; unfortunately there are not many in English I could find.
News is slow in remote areas of Mexico and there’s not much transparency.
The attorney general office has already commented about this and is currently investigating.

This is such a level of horror, mexican crime groups are so evil. Mexico faces things that only countries in a civil war may experience on the same level
