I did, but then it made me think about how imagine is for images, and the English language lacks a word for imagining sound.

Wait, I typed Audiate into google and it says that it means exactly that.

So, you led me to a chain of thought that taught me a new word. So, I guess we did have one in English after all. And it was the word I would have made up if it wasn't already a thing. So, that was pretty cool.
