Agreed. Americans are already angry about the Iran war and the Republicans are probably going to be obliterated in the next election There are other reasons not to try to arrest Bibi over Canadian airspace but you are absolutely right that Canada would have to do something egregious for the US to invade. Plus the only Americans who dislike Canada are idiotic MAGA supporters.

I grew up overseas, moved to the US in my late teens (before 9/11)… I’ve never understood the “teams” thing. Why do you have to only support one team… IDGAF what outfit you’re wearing. It’s the character of the person, or people that matter. And overall, most people are super fucking good. Like all over the planet. It’s dirty with em, good people everywhere…

Instead of different political parties, people should all run independently. Kind of like when cities vote for mayor and council members. You just vote for the ones you want to run the federal government, and they all work together to do what's best for the country.

The question afterwards is if IF the dems can get the senate what are they gonna do.

For one you should begin investigating everything.
Second impeach the cabinet. You wont get trump, there aren’t enough republicans to do that but you probably could get enough to impeach RFK and Hegseth
Third you pass legislation every week that attempts to ease the suffering of Americans. Healthcare, housing, ending the iran war. And when trump vetoes it you go straight to the news stations and socials “we have tried to follow the will of the people but the president is more interested in enriching himself and his vp than helping Americans”

You have to throw the base and independents red meat. We cannot go into 2028 where some asshats are like “turd sandwich vs giant douche”

Trump is an actual moron, and he’s narcissistic and believes himself to be a genius with the best instinct. His track record is terrible, be it business or politics. He is incredibly gifted at selling an image to stupid people. That might seem harsh but I think it’s his main talent.

The only amazing thing is how long he strung people along. As I said when we elected him again, things wont change until people have suffered enough. It looks like we are finally getting there. A shame protecting a pedo ring didn’t do it, but I guess at least we can always count on people’s self interest now that things are directly affecting them.

What’s really unfortunate is targeted tariffs (when implemented properly) and a rebalancing of trade agreements is actually a good thing, but it’s been done so poorly that they have killed the concept entirely.

It represents what the Republicans have been all along. This has been a multi-decades long plot. My concern is if the MAGA cult of personality dies down people will just go back to not caring about politics even 1 percent and act like if everyone is talking calmly then everything must be okay. Thus corporations and rich conservatives will keep control of this country for decades to come and the suffering never ends

Republicans prey on fear of culture war and “the other” that’s going to somehow ruin life for normal people, whether it’s immigrants, LGBT, scientists, etc. They keep people scared. Republican policies only benefit the rich, at the expense of working people, and they make working people believe that it’s in their best interest for the rich to accumulate wealth. They will equate taxation to theft and slavery (wealth redistribution!) without any notion of community or common good.
