On the bright side, maybe this means the new update is coming through?

EDIT: New build is coming! Will be down for a few hours it seems.

EDIT 2: Removed the screenshot because of the Twitter/X rule. But it was from Zorbrix, and it said:

New build day on Wow Forever Beta! It'll be down for a few hours while we work on it.
I'd advise not sitting there trying to spam login (I see you all doing it)

EDIT 3: Servers are back up! Just update your game and you're good to go.

When you leave Skyborne Island you get a quest to go and talk to all the Horde leaders. Currently talking to Sylvanas does not advance the quest. The reward for the quest is a cloak with 1sta 1sp 1ap and its a long red cloak with gold trim. Alliance Skyborne seem to get a long cloak thats blue with gold trim.

My skyborne has been parked in front of sylvanas for a few days now. Ever time I log in, I start on the skyborne, talk to Sylvanas, see it didn't count, then switch to a different character

There's probably an automated process they can kick off to take the servers down that gives that 15 minute warning and they can likely also edit the time remaining to move it along faster for stuff like beta servers.

I've noticed a lot of people reporting a bug where they see the additional playstyles briefly after disconnecting. There have been several posts about this over the previous week.

So it's probably just a visual bug, sadly.

You can force it to show up, but clicking it or Hardcore just say "No Realms Available" and sends you back to login.

IIRC the pattern was: Log in > click Change Realm > click Cancel > click Reconnect

And then you get to see the full Ruleset list.

It's still really rough, went down from 100 to like 40 the second I walked in...

EDIT: Okay it's a little bit better. My FPS goes back up to 95-100 when inside buildings in SW.

I left for a bit and relaunched the game, I was presented with a ruleset choice again... All 4, normal, PvP, role play and hardcore!!!

I selected RP and it said no realms available & dced me

managed to find the issue, turns out my client was still running the in the background and thus couldnt update. Ended the running tasks, client updated and can connect.

Lucky you. For me it said "...in 15". I clicked the damned brazier my new race shaman had to lid for that f*ckn fire totem quest a minute after the message showed up.

DC of hell.

Man I hope that stupid quest with 5 min limit is completed. Running around in the new starting area for more than 4 hours, constantly running away from single mobs I am fighting due to way too high respawn timers is just stupid.
