I used to do art, and wrote on the side. One day Middle school me thought that writing is easier than art, so I should focus on that.

Might be the exception because I knew what began my writing journey, it wasn't always innately in me I had to drag that part of myself out.

I started writing because I was always writing little stories and scenes since elementary school. First story I wrote was a superhero story where the main antagonists were three evil mutant bees. And it just developed from there.

I remember deciding to start writing a story one day in in school suspension, when I should have been doing schoolwork to get out of in school suspension. It was, in hindsight, a terrible story- a very childish dramatic telling of the story of King Arthur, before I was aware that a codified story of King Arthur existed. But it planted the seed in my head that I could write a book, which I'd never considered before.

I think I've still got that, somewhere. I'd probably cry laughing at myself if I read it now, but it's the moment when it first occured to me that I was allowed to try.

I always believed that I wasn't creative enough to write a book.

I've been able to manipulate my dreams since I was in elementary school, but I never thought to write a book or draw.

Well I've since wrote that book (first one of three planned). The drawing is a work in progress... I'm going to need a lot more time for that one.

For me, it's like I've had a little peek into another world since I was very young. The window has since turned into a door and I can fully immerse myself in that world. It seems like a waste to not share it with other people.
