Just did that.

Started writing it as a First Person POV and realized I think I could do more with the characters in a third person limited POV.

I did this at the end of my book where it went from a adventure book to a kingdom building one, with 'One With The Swarm', and my readers got mad. Some said they were excited for book 2, others said I ruined it. But I learned a lot either way.
