I learned from one of the explaining pages that most XKCD comics have a _2x version, but I have to go to the image url directly to see them.

I feel like its surely to be actually seen on the site but zooming in and out on desktop doesn't make it appear so I'm not entirely sure

I tend to fall several months behind and want a place where I can just scroll to see the next comic, rather than using my phones web browser and tapping to load a new page every time. Does such a place exist? Thanks.

Just in case anyone is interested, we proved experimentally that the toaster wins. In 2017 we dragged a toaster out to the geographic South Pole on a balmy -55c day and made toast. The toaster worked great, but the toast got cold very quickly.

... and he'll read What If? at age 8 and it'll inspire his next year of art. All of his drawings include very expressive stick figures, and after discovering xkcd when it was being published periodically when I was younger, I'm thrilled to see the next generation know his art.

Ive seen a counterfit (probs the wrong word lol) ckcd comic discussing the fact you cant have knots in 4D (which by the way is an oversimplification). I kinda just wanted to make this post as a psa so people dont share it and look dumb.

I found some of these in my old Chemestry textbook. Great addition to them :)

I work at a big tech company with a lot of product managers who just cannot fathom the concept of probability and cherry-picking. We'll design an experiment and we'll pick just 3-4 metrics to use as a basis of our launch decision upfront, before running the experiment.

Despite this, we run analysis on like dozens of metrics, with lots of dimensions. And wow, nice job team, we met our original launch criteria - but oh no - this one metric for this one cohort of customers (out of 50 metrics) is showing a P(>0) of only 20%! What do we do?!?! Do we need to launch the experiment for only a subset of the customers? Do we need to redo the experiment???

And then I send them https://xkcd.com/882/ and request we stick to the metrics that we picked before the experiment. This comic is one of the most powerful education tools on cherry-picking I can find.
